Paytm Q1 FY27 earnings schedule

In a regulatory filing on July 15, Paytm said its Board of Directors will meet on Monday, July 20, 2026, to consider and approve the unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026.

The board will also consider a proposal for the issuance of bonus equity shares to shareholders, subject to the necessary approvals.

Following the results announcement, the company will host an earnings conference call for investors and analysts on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, from 3:30 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. IST to discuss its Q1 FY27 financial performance.

Recent updates

One 97 Communications Ltd remained majority Indian-owned and witnessed a further increase in domestic ownership during the quarter ended June 30, 2026, with domestic investors increasing their shareholding to approximately 51.6%, according to its latest shareholding pattern filed with the bourses.

This sustained increase from 50.3% domestic shareholding in the previous quarter underscores Paytm's position as an Indian-Owned and Controlled Company (IOCC), a milestone it first achieved in March 2026, and signals deepening conviction among long-term Indian institutional and non-institutional investors.

Domestic institutional ownership also rose to an all-time high of 24.9% in Q1 FY27 from 23.1% in Q4 FY26. The increase was led by mutual fund houses, which collectively raised their holdings to 17.9% in Q1 FY27 from 16.6% in the previous quarter. The number of mutual funds investing in Paytm also rose to 43 in Q1 FY27 from 41 previously.

Bonus issue in focus

Paytm is likely to reward shareholders with the first bonus issue in its 25-year history, capping a landmark year in which the fintech major posted its maiden full-year profit and gained market share across its payments and financial services businesses.

The move comes weeks after Paytm reported its full-year profit after tax (PAT) of $552 crore in FY26, swinging from a loss of $663 crore a year earlier; an improvement of ₹1,215 crore. EBITDA rose to ₹502 crore from a loss of ₹1,506 crore, a turnaround of over ₹2,000 crore in just twelve months.

A bonus issue, which allots additional shares to existing shareholders in proportion to their holdings, is typically announced by companies as a sign of confidence in their financial strength and long-term growth prospects.
