In a regulatory filing with stock exchanges, Jio Financial Services said SEBI granted Jio BlackRock Investment Advisers the certificate of registration on June 10 to act as an investment adviser.

"Please note that the Securities and Exchange Board of India, vide letter dated June 10, 2025, has granted certificate of registration to Jio BlackRock Investment Advisers Private Limited (“JBIAPL”) to act as an Investment Adviser," the filing stated.

With the license in place, Jio BlackRock Investment Advisers plans to roll out a digital-first advisory platform to meet the evolving needs of investors, Jio BlackRock Investment Advisers said in a statement.

As Indian investors increasingly seek personalized, insight-driven financial solutions, this joint venture is poised to democratize access to world-class advisory services, JFSL MD and CEO Hitesh Sethia said.

"We are confident that Jio BlackRock will redefine the future of wealth creation in India by empowering investors with global expertise and local relevance," he said.

This latest approval follows SEBI’s earlier green light for the JV’s mutual fund business. On May 27, Jio Financial Services announced that SEBI had registered Jio BlackRock Mutual Fund and approved Jio BlackRock Asset Management Private Limited to serve as its Asset Management Company.

The partnership between JFSL and BlackRock was initially announced in July 2023. SEBI had granted in-principle approval for the mutual fund venture in October 2024.

The company also announced the appointment of Marc Pilgrem as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Jio BlackRock Investment Advisers.
