Amazon India launches at-home diagnostics service across 6 cities

Amazon India on Sunday announced the launch of Amazon Diagnostics, a new at-home lab testing service that enables customers to book tests, schedule appointments, and receive digital reports across six major cities.

Developed in partnership with Orange Health Labs, the service offers doorstep sample collection in under 60 minutes and digital lab reports in as little as six hours, the company said in a statement.

Available across Bengaluru, Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Mumbai, and Hyderabad, the service covers over 450 pin codes.

It forms a key part of the Amazon Medical platform, which already includes Amazon Pharmacy and Amazon Clinic.

“Amazon Diagnostics represents a significant step forward in making healthcare more accessible, reliable and convenient for all our customers,” said Jayaramakrishnan Balasubramanian, Category Leader, Amazon Medical. “By providing high-quality, doctor-verified lab testing seamlessly integrated into the Amazon app, we are empowering our customers with world class diagnostic facilities from the comfort of their home.”

Amazon Diagnostics will offer over 800 diagnostic tests and doorstep sample collection within 60 minutes.

According to Amazon, the move addresses long-standing issues such as long wait times, inconsistent service quality, and accessibility gaps that hinder preventive care.

The service is designed with user-friendly features, including real-time slot visibility, map-based address validation, secure digital report access, and automated test preparation instructions, according to the company.

With the integration of diagnostics, Amazon now provides a complete outpatient healthcare journey—from doctor consultations and diagnostic testing to medicine delivery—under the Amazon Medical umbrella.

Through Amazon Pharmacy, users can order prescription medicines and healthcare essentials, with free teleconsultations and delivery benefits for Prime and non-Prime members alike. Amazon Clinic offers virtual consultations with licensed doctors for a range of primary care needs.
