Leading flexi-cap mutual funds made several changes to their equity portfolios in August, with some schemes adding fresh names while others exited existing holdings.
Using the latest portfolio data from ACE MF, we looked at some of the largest flexi-cap funds by assets under management (AUM) to identify the key changes they made to their equity portfolios during August.

HDFC Flexi Cap Fund added five stocks to its portfolio in August. Apar Industries, UltraTech Cement, Life Insurance Corporation of India, Rubicon Research and Tenneco Clean Air India.
The fund exited Cyient and Jupiter Life Line Hospitals during the month.
Among the additions, UltraTech Cement had the largest market value at around ₹988.35 crore, while Apar Industries stood at approximately ₹298.92 crore. LIC's holding was valued at around ₹323.95 crore.
SBI Flexicap Fund added Vedanta, Indian Bank, BSE, LIC and Urban Company in August.
The Urban Company holding was valued at approximately ₹489.63 crore, while LIC was worth around ₹514.14 crore. The fund also had holdings worth about ₹338.90 crore in BSE, ₹287.60 crore in Indian Bank and ₹116.84 crore in Vedanta.
On the exit side, SBI Flexicap Fund removed Max Financial Services, ICICI Lombard General Insurance and INDO-MIM from the portfolio.
ICICI Prudential Flexicap Fund added Bosch, Rubicon Research and Dr Agarwal's Health Care during August.
Rubicon Research represented the largest of the three new positions, with a market value of around ₹219.23 crore, followed by Bosch at ₹39.63 crore and Dr Agarwal's Health Care at ₹102.64 crore.
No exits were reported in the data for the scheme.
Parag Parikh Flexi Cap Fund made two fresh additions to its portfolio in August, according to the fund's monthly portfolio report as of August 31, 2026.
The fund added DLF and Knowledge Realty Trust during the month. Knowledge Realty Trust was the larger new position, accounting for 2.09% of the fund's AUM, while DLF accounted for 0.64%.
The fund added 1.37 crore shares of DLF and 27.84 crore units of Knowledge Realty Trust, according to the monthly portfolio disclosure.
Meanwhile, ACE data shows that the fund exited its holdings in BSE and Eternal during August. The BSE holding was valued at around ₹36.68 crore in July, while the Eternal holding was worth approximately ₹302.35 crore.
