How Parag Parikh, SBI, HDFC and other flexi-cap fund managers tweaked their equity portfolios in August 2026

Leading flexi-cap mutual funds made several changes to their equity portfolios in August, with some schemes adding fresh names while others exited existing holdings.

Using the latest portfolio data from ACE MF, we looked at some of the largest flexi-cap funds by assets under management (AUM) to identify the key changes they made to their equity portfolios during August.

Among the funds tracked, HDFC Flexi Cap Fund made five additions, including Apar Industries, UltraTech Cement, LIC, Rubicon Research and Tenneco Clean Air India. At the same time, the fund exited Cyient and Jupiter Life Line Hospitals from its portfolio.
SBI Flexicap Fund also made several additions during the month. Its August portfolio included fresh positions in Vedanta, Indian Bank, BSE, LIC and Urban Company. The fund, meanwhile, exited Max Financial Services, ICICI Lombard General Insurance and INDO-MIM.
At ICICI Prudential Flexicap Fund, Bosch, Rubicon Research and Dr Agarwal's Health Care were among the stocks appearing as new additions in August. The scheme had no stocks listed under exits in the data.

Interestingly, Parag Parikh Flexi Cap Fund had a relatively limited change in its domestic equity portfolio. The scheme exited BSE and Eternal during August, with no new domestic equity additions appearing in the disclosed data.

HDFC Flexi Cap Fund

HDFC Flexi Cap Fund added five stocks to its portfolio in August. Apar Industries, UltraTech Cement, Life Insurance Corporation of India, Rubicon Research and Tenneco Clean Air India.

The fund exited Cyient and Jupiter Life Line Hospitals during the month.

Among the additions, UltraTech Cement had the largest market value at around ₹988.35 crore, while Apar Industries stood at approximately ₹298.92 crore. LIC's holding was valued at around ₹323.95 crore.

SBI Flexicap Fund

SBI Flexicap Fund added Vedanta, Indian Bank, BSE, LIC and Urban Company in August.

The Urban Company holding was valued at approximately ₹489.63 crore, while LIC was worth around ₹514.14 crore. The fund also had holdings worth about ₹338.90 crore in BSE, ₹287.60 crore in Indian Bank and ₹116.84 crore in Vedanta.

On the exit side, SBI Flexicap Fund removed Max Financial Services, ICICI Lombard General Insurance and INDO-MIM from the portfolio.

ICICI Prudential Flexicap Fund

ICICI Prudential Flexicap Fund added Bosch, Rubicon Research and Dr Agarwal's Health Care during August.

Rubicon Research represented the largest of the three new positions, with a market value of around ₹219.23 crore, followed by Bosch at ₹39.63 crore and Dr Agarwal's Health Care at ₹102.64 crore.

No exits were reported in the data for the scheme.

Parag Parikh Flexi Cap Fund

Parag Parikh Flexi Cap Fund made two fresh additions to its portfolio in August, according to the fund's monthly portfolio report as of August 31, 2026.

The fund added DLF and Knowledge Realty Trust during the month. Knowledge Realty Trust was the larger new position, accounting for 2.09% of the fund's AUM, while DLF accounted for 0.64%.

The fund added 1.37 crore shares of DLF and 27.84 crore units of Knowledge Realty Trust, according to the monthly portfolio disclosure.

Meanwhile, ACE data shows that the fund exited its holdings in BSE and Eternal during August. The BSE holding was valued at around ₹36.68 crore in July, while the Eternal holding was worth approximately ₹302.35 crore.

Aditya Birla Sun Life Flexi Cap Fund

Aditya Birla Sun Life Flexi Cap Fund added Kalpataru Projects International and Milky Mist Dairy Food during August.

The Kalpataru Projects International holding was valued at approximately ₹178.38 crore, while Milky Mist Dairy Food was worth around ₹127.54 crore.

No exits were reported for the scheme in the data provided.
