HDFC Trustee Company, the trustee to HDFC Mutual Fund, has approved the distribution and fixed Tuesday, August 18, 2026, as the record date for the IDCW distribution. If August 18 is not a Business Day, the immediately following Business Day will be considered the Record Date.

Under the announcement, the quantum of IDCW has been fixed at ₹0.050 per unit on the face value of ₹10 per unit. The distribution applies to both the Regular Plan – Monthly IDCW Option and the Direct Plan – Monthly IDCW Option.

Investors in the respective payout and reinvestment options will be covered under the distribution, subject to the applicable scheme terms and eligibility requirements.

IDCW, or Income Distribution cum Capital Withdrawal, is a facility through which a mutual fund may distribute a portion of the distributable surplus to investors. Mutual fund schemes may offer different IDCW frequencies, including monthly, quarterly or other periodic options, depending on the scheme.

In the case of HDFC Arbitrage Fund, the monthly IDCW option provides investors with a periodic distribution mechanism. Under the payout option, the declared amount is paid to eligible investors, while under the reinvestment option, the distribution is used to allot additional units to eligible investors, subject to applicable terms.

The HDFC Arbitrage Fund is an open-ended scheme that seeks to invest in arbitrage opportunities. Arbitrage funds generally seek to benefit from price differences between the cash and derivatives markets while maintaining hedged positions.

Investors should note that an IDCW distribution should not be viewed as an additional return generated separately from the fund's investment performance. The NAV of the scheme is adjusted for the distribution, subject to applicable factors.

The record date is therefore an important date for investors holding units under the applicable IDCW options, as it determines eligibility for the announced distribution in accordance with the scheme's terms and applicable regulations.
