Many beneficiaries of the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin scheme have reported that they selected the wrong options while completing their e-KYC on the official portal, resulting in complaints and difficulties in availing the benefits.

The Maharashtra government has reportedly received numerous complaints regarding this issue, particularly from eligible beneficiaries who completed the eKYC but didn’t receive the benefits. As a result, the government is providing beneficiaries with the opportunity to update their information.

Last date to make corrections

Beneficiaries who made mistakes in the process can correct and complete the eKYC before March 31, 2026.

“In this context, through the online portal, the facility to make corrections in e-KYC has been made available until March 31, 2026. It is the sincere stance of the Women and Child Development Department that all eligible beneficiaries should receive the benefits of this scheme. Therefore, this is a humble request to those beloved sisters whose e-KYC process has any errors to get them corrected well in advance of the deadline,” Minister Tatkare said in a social media post on X.

Earlier in January, the minister had asked all district collectors to carry out physical verification of beneficiaries at the local levels. The verification will be conducted by Anganwadi workers, Tatkare said in a post on X. This is aimed at improving accuracy in beneficiary records and ensuring that only the eligible beneficiaries receive the benefits.
