Organised as part of the nationwide Digital Life Certificate Campaign 4.0, the event is jointly conducted by the Indian Air Force and the Defence Accounts Department, Chennai.

The camp is designed to serve as a one-stop centre for certificate renewal, banking assistance, and grievance redressal.

Various banks and Defence record offices will set up counters to provide on-the-spot support, and a digital demonstration will guide attendees through the certificate renewal process, helping them navigate the technology confidently.

What is a Digital Life Certificate?

A Digital Life Certificate (DLC) is an online mechanism that allows pensioners to prove they are alive without physically submitting a paper certificate.

It is a mandatory requirement for all central government and Defence pensioners to continue receiving monthly pension payments.

Unlike traditional life certificates, the DLC can be generated using biometric authentication or through banks connected to the Pensioners’ Portal, making the process faster, more secure, and more convenient for retirees.

Deadline for Life Certificate Submission

Pensioners are reminded that the final deadline to submit their DLC for uninterrupted pension payments is November 30. Missing this deadline can result in the temporary suspension of monthly pension credits, which may cause financial difficulties for retirees who rely solely on this income. By participating in the camp or completing the process online, Defence pensioners ensure timely compliance and continued financial stability.
The DLC campaign safeguards the continuity of pension income, promotes financial inclusion, and helps retirees navigate digital systems with confidence. Initiatives like these not only simplify routine pension tasks but also strengthen financial security for senior citizens and their families, allowing them to focus on their post-retirement life with peace of mind.
