Issued on the RuPay network, the card integrates Google Pay’s secure and easy-to-use digital platform with Axis Bank’s banking capabilities, allowing users to access credit in the same way they make everyday UPI payments. The launch marks Google’s first foray into the co-branded credit card space under its Flex by Google Pay initiative.

Key features of the Google Pay Flex Axis Bank credit card

Simple digital application

Users can apply for the Flex card directly within the Google Pay app in just a few minutes, with no physical paperwork required. The card is fully digital and lives on the user’s smartphone, ensuring access anytime and anywhere.

Pay anywhere, everywhere

Powered by the RuPay network, the card enables users to scan and pay at millions of offline merchants across India or complete payments on their favourite apps, whether for small daily purchases or larger transactions.

Instant rewards

Cardholders earn reward “stars” that are instantly redeemable on any Flex transaction. Each star is valued at ₹1, allowing users to use their rewards immediately instead of waiting for monthly redemption cycles.

Flexible repayment controls
Users can track their spending and manage bills directly within the Google Pay app, with the option to pay the full outstanding amount or convert credit card dues into easy EMIs.
In-app control

The card offers comprehensive security and control features within the Google Pay app. Users can set transaction limits, block or unblock the card, and reset their PIN instantly, all from within the app.

Available exclusively on Google Pay, the Flex card can be applied for at zero cost from anywhere, allowing users to begin transacting within minutes. The rollout has started on December 17, with plans to expand availability to all users in the coming months. Interested users can join the waitlist directly through the Google Pay app.
