EPFO services now available on WhatsApp: Check PF balance, passbook and latest transactions

EPF subscribers can now access their PF balance, latest five transactions and passbook information through EPFO’s verified WhatsApp service.

The service will also provide personalised guidance and assistance to members in completing PMVBRY-related requirements.

The initiative is expected to make routine services accessible through a familiar mobile platform and reduce the need for members to visit EPFO offices.

Inoperative EPF accounts: Automatic transfer of balances up to ₹1,000

EPFO has also launched the automatic settlement of eligible inoperative EPF accounts.

Subscribers with Aadhaar-verified inoperative EPF accounts holding balances of up to ₹1,000 will not need to file individual claims.

EPFO will initiate the settlement automatically after the prescribed identity and bank account verification, facilitating the transfer of eligible dues to the rightful beneficiaries.

Approximately one lakh accounts involving ₹5 crore are expected to benefit from this initiative.

EPFO inaugurates second phase of its Head Office On the occasion of its 74th Foundation Day, Mandaviya also inaugurated the second phase of the EPFO Head Office.

EPFO manages ₹32 lakh crore corpus

Speaking at the event, Mandaviya highlighted that EPFO has emerged as a trusted institution for the country's workforce over its 74-year journey.

He noted that the organisation has accumulated a ₹32 lakh crore corpus through contributions from more than 8 crore members, reflecting the dedication and commitment of the EPFO workforce.

The minister urged officials to focus on worker-centric innovations as EPFO approaches its 75th year, adapting and evolving its processes in line with changing times.
