8th Central Pay Commission update: Delhi, Pune, Dehradun meetings to drive pay & pension changes

8th Central Pay Commission update: The Eighth Central Pay Commission (8th CPC) has stepped up its stakeholder consultations, announcing meetings in Delhi, Pune and Dehradun. This is an important exercise that will influence future revisions in salaries, allowances and pensions of Central government employees.

Delhi meetings (April 28–30)

The Commission shall schedule interactions at Delhi on 28th, 29th and 30th April, 2026 (Tuesday-Thursday). Interested Unions/Associations desirous of interacting with the Commission at Delhi may kindly submit a memorandum at the Commission's website (8cpc.gov.in) and thereafter submit their request seeking an appointment at abhay.sahay@nic.in on or before 20th April, 2026, along with a unique memo Id generated after submitting the memorandum.

Venue details and meeting schedule shall be intimated subsequently. The Commission shall be holding more meetings at Delhi and at various other States in due course.

Pune visit (May 4–5)

The Eighth Central Pay Commission shall be visiting Pune, Maharashtra on 4th and 5th May, 2026 (Monday and Tuesday). Central Government Organisations/Institutions and Unions/Associations desirous of interacting with the Commission at Pune may kindly submit memorandum at the Commission's website (8cpc.gov.in) and thereafter submit their request seeking an appointment at jha.anandkumar@nic.in on or before 20th April, 2026, along with unique memo Id generated after submitting memorandum.

Venue details and meeting schedule shall be intimated subsequently. The Commission shall also be holding separate meetings at Mumbai, Maharashtra and at various other States in due course.

Dehradun visit (April 24)

A team of the Commission will visit Dehradun, Uttarakhand on April 24, 2026. Interested stakeholders can request an appointment via manish.kr1975@nic.in. Venue and schedule details will be intimated later.

These consultations are part of the Commission’s broader exercise to gather inputs before finalising its recommendations, making them a key development for the personal finances of lakhs of Central government employees and pensioners.
