Three special fixed deposit schemes offered by the State Bank of India (SBI) and HDFC Bank are closing on March 31, 2025. As per information available on respective bank websites, the last date to invest in these schemes is March 31, 2025.
It was introduced to provide investors an opportunity to maximise their savings. These deposits are available in two tenures offering up to 7.9% to senior citizens and up to 7.4% interest rate to others
2 years, 11 months (35 months): Senior citizens can get 7.85% interest while others can get 7.35% interest.
4 years, 07 months (55 months): Senior citizens can get 7.9% interest while others can get 7.9% interest.
The interest rates on these HDFC Bank special edition FDs are comparatively higher than FDs of similar tenures offered by the bank.
These special edition FDs also offer monthly or quarterly pay-out options for a regular income stream to depositors.
March 31 is also the last date to apply for two special fixed deposits offered by SBI - SBI Amrit Kalash and SBI Amrit Vrishti, according to the bank’s website.
