Silver Rate Today, May 27: City-wise prices of 999 silver in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai

Silver prices remained steady for the third day in a row on Wednesday (May 27, 2026). According to Goodreturns.in, the precious white metal exhibiting stability was priced at ₹2.85 lakh per kg.

On the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA) website, silver 999 traded at ₹2,61,710 per kg, while it quoted at ₹2,66,213 per kg yesterday.

Silver prices are primarily determined based on international spot market prices. This is as India imports a significant portion of its silver requirement. Domestic prices are computed by taking into account currency exchange rate, import duties, dealer margins as well as local tariffs.

Factors influencing silver price today

Even as silver prices remained steady in the physical market, prices on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) after a positive opening declined. At around 2 pm, silver futures for July delivery were down by over 1% or ₹2,993 at ₹2,67,635 per 10 gm.

Meanwhile, US silver futures (July delivery) were down by 1.3% at $75.56 per ounce.

The market participants are keeping a close watch on the upcoming comments from US Federal Reserve officials, including US Fed Vice Chair Philip Jefferson and Governor Lisa Cook, for cues on the Fed's monetary policy outlook given the current inflation trends.

Analysts expect precious metal prices, including silver to trade rangebound to slightly lower today on the Indian bourses.
