Silver Rate Today, May 14: What is the price of 1 kg 999 silver in your city?

Silver prices on Thursday (May 14, 2026), a day after the sharp duty hike, have erased a good quantum of its previous day's gains. In the National Capital, prices have dropped by ₹10,000 per kg and were priced at ₹3,00,000 per kg.

The decline is also symbolic of the pricing rearrangement made post the Centre's steep hike in import duty to 15%.

Factors influencing silver rate today

After the steep duty hike and its impact yesterday, silver market similar to gold, is aligning with the broader macros.

Post the one-off impact, prices have come down, as the sentiment has taken a hit amid an increase in prices, with an impact seen on the demand too.

On the MCX, July silver futures were down by 0.98% or ₹2,954 at ₹2,97,284. After the hike, silver prices topped ₹3,00,000 level and moved even higher.

Interestingly, silver prices are losing, even as the dollar index is trading with a gap-down.

US silver futures as of the last count at around 12:12 pm (IST) traded with a cut at 98.7.

For now market participants are watching out and awaiting positive developments from the high-level meeting between US and China.
