Factors influencing silver rate today

Silver prices on the MCX were down significantly mirroring moves in the international bullion market. At around 11 am, silver July futures were down 1.63% or ₹3,881 at ₹2,34,647 per kg. During the early trade, the contract hit the day's high and low price of ₹2,36,200 and ₹2,33,400 per kg, respectively.

US silver futures, meanwhile, were down 1.52% at $64.25 per ounce. The precious white metal after hitting a record high of $121.65 early this year, has already tumbled nearly 44%.

Interestingly, the dream run in silver started post Covid in 2022 when the industrial demand for the metal revived and silent accumulation by ETFs started. From 2022, when silver was priced at just $17.50 it climbed to $121.65 in Jan 2026 — a 305% rally in 40 months, and post this stellar run it is now correcting.

Analysts now primarily attribute the correction in the white-metal from its peak to factors, including revival in the dollar index (DXY) to levels near or around 100, strength in gold-silver ratio to 63.6 and ETF outflows among others.
