Silver price in India today (April 28, 2026) has come down by ₹2000 per kg. The price today is quoting at ₹2,65,000 per kg, marking a 0.75% decline over the previous close.

Why silver prices fell sharply today?

As at the time of writing the copy at around 5:20 pm, silver May futures traded with a deep cut of 3.15% or ₹7,624 at ₹2,34,200 per kg.

The prices of the white metal fell sharply mirroring movement in gold which declined to a 3-week low.

Bullions are seeing an impact as oil-prices have again trended higher and investors await Fed policy rate due decision due tomorrow.

Silver futures, meanwhile, traded with a cut of nearly 4% at $72 per ounce.
