Gold rates in Hyderabad on November 4, 2026; indicative, before making charges and GST

With Dhanteras on Friday, November 6, and Diwali on Sunday, November 8, the next four days are the busiest days of the year for jewellers in Charminar, Somajiguda and Jubilee Hills, other markets of the city.

The city's rates are today ₹15 per 10 grams below Delhi's, a gap small enough to be erased by one showroom's pricing.

Tuesday witnessed a gain of ₹270 per 10 grams in 24 karat and ₹250 in 22 karat, following the 3.51% fall on October 31, and gold is still roughly ₹12,000 per 10 grams cheaper than October's peak.

Hyderabad's buying pattern is distinctive. While kadas, necklaces and other jewellery sets are almost always 22 karat, the pearl, ruby and emerald work the city is known for is set in 18 karat. The two are quoted on different base rates, so a straight per-gram comparison can be misleading.

Please note that the rates are indicative and actual cost can vary from store to store. Buyers should compare rates at more than one jeweller. The amount you finally pay will also be higher than the karat-based price because making charges and 3% GST are added on top. For example, a 10-gram 22 karat piece with 12% making charges attracts GST of ₹4,301, taking the total to about ₹1,47,672.

Making charges are worth negotiating as hard as the rate. Buyers should also ensure that every jewellery piece has a BIS hallmark and a HUID number that matches the bill.
