Gold rates in Delhi on November 3, 2026; indicative, before making charges and GST

In Delhi, the 24-karat gold lost ₹5,060 per 10 grams, or 3.51%, in a single session on October 31. Tuesday's ₹510 gain per 10 gram has clawed back only a fraction. Measured against October's peak of ₹1,51,570, gold is still about ₹12,000 per 10 grams cheaper with a gap of nearly 8%.

Traders link the slide in Gold rate ahead of Dhanteras and Diwali to profit-booking after a record run and a firmer US dollar overseas. Tuesday's uptick of ₹470 per 10 grams of 22 karat gold looks like restocking by jewellers ahead of Dhanteras rather than the start of a new rally. However, dealers expect swings to continue through the week.

Please note that gold rates above are indicative. A showroom's price can differ depending on the zone, the store and local supply. So, buyers should compare rates at several shops themselves instead of accepting the first figure offered.

The final payment is also usually higher than the karat-based price, because making charges and 3% GST are added.

For instance, a 10-gram 22 carat gold jewellery piece at 8% making charges can attracts GST of ₹4,144, taking the total to about ₹1,42,287.

Making charges, which may run from 6 to 18%, deserve as much comparison as the rate itself. Further, buyers should ensure that their jewelery carries a BIS hallmark and a six-digit HUID, and the bill shows weight, purity, making charges and GST separately.
