City-wise Silver Rate Today, April 23: Check silver prices in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai

Silver prices on Thursday (April 23, 2026), in tandem with the movement in gold price, have declined today. The price is down by ₹5000 or 1.77% at ₹2,77,000 per kg.

Silver prices in India are determined based on international spot rates, currency exchange rates (USD/INR), and import duties.

In 10 days, the prices have scaled by just ₹500, rising to ₹2,92,000 per kg levels at one point in time.

Why silver prices fell today?

Silver prices in today's session, in tandem with the movement in gold price, have edged lower. On the MCX, silver May futures were down ₹4,366 per kg at ₹2,43,998.

In the intra-day trade, silver's day-high and low prices are ₹2,44,730 and ₹2,42,220 per kg.

The white metal's price has took a beating as investors continue to track US-Iran war developments, and as fresh escalation signals pushed crude prices higher.

Meanwhile, US silver futures were down 2.5% at $76.055.
