Equity benchmark indices SENSEX and NIFTY plunged more than 1% on Tuesday due to an across-the-board selloff amid massive foreign fund exodus from the capital markets and sluggish global equities.

Extending its previous day's decline, the BSE SENSEX plummeted 930.55 points or 1.15% to settle at 80,220.72. The NSE NIFTY tumbled 309 points or 1.25% to 24,472.10.

Realty firm Arkade Developers Ltd will invest Rs 570 crore to develop a luxury real estate project in Mumbai.

The project "Arkade Rare" is spread over 3 acres and located at Bhandup West in Mumbai. The company will develop 432 residential units along with 43 commercial units.

Aditya Birla Real Estate Ltd on Tuesday reported a consolidated net profit of ₹2.82 crore in the second quarter of this fiscal year on higher income.

The company had posted a net loss of ₹32.87 crore in the year-ago period.

Power Grid Corporation's board on Tuesday approved a proposal to raise up to ₹5,000 crore through issuance of bonds on private placement basis.

The base issue size of the bonds is ₹1,000 crore with additional 'Green Shoe Option' of ₹4,000 crore.

Ambuja Cements, the cement and building material company of Adani Cement and part of the diversified Adani Group, has signed a binding agreement for the acquisition of Orient Cement Ltd (OCL) at an equity value of ₹8,100 crore.

After falling in the previous trade, the BSE Sensex bounced back and climbed 239.33 points to 81,390.60 in early trade. The NSE Nifty went up by 72.95 points to 24,854.05.

The GIFT NIFTY is trading flat, indicating a subdued start for the NIFTY50 today. Meanwhile, the major Asian indices are trading mixed. Japan’s Nikkei 225 is down 1.2%, while Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index is up 0.5%.
