The exchanges are having LIVE trading sessions on Saturday to switch to the Disaster Recovery site.

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) and the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) will conduct two special LIVE trading sessions on 2nd March, to test disaster preparedness in case of an emergency.

The exchanges are having LIVE trading sessions on Saturday to switch to the Disaster Recovery site.

NSE, BSE special trading sessions timing

On 2nd March, the first trading session will be from 9:15 am to 10 am, and the second session will be from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.

"All securities (including those on which derivative products are available) will have a maximum price band of 5%. Securities already in the 2% or lower price band shall continue to be available in the respective bands," the NSE said.

The bourses are conducting a special session as market regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) wants market intermediaries such as exchanges, clearing houses and depository participants to ensure a smooth transition to a business continuity plan at disaster recovery sites in case of an unexpected event. It ensures that trading activities continue without interruptions and that all data remains secure.
