In a notice on Friday, BSE said that trading members using third-party trading platforms can use this chance to test their trading applications during the mock trading session for a range of functionalities (including exceptional market conditions), namely various types of call auction sessions, trading halts, risk-reduction mode and block deals, among others.

"Market participants may note that mock trading is merely for the purpose of testing and familiarization and that the trades resulting from such mock trading will not attract any margin obligation or pay-in and pay-out obligation and will not create any rights and liabilities," the BSE said.
