Leading brokerage stocks closed higher, mirroring the rally in the broader market. Both benchmark indices, SENSEX and NIFTY, rebounded into positive territory after ending the previous session in the red.

The key indices saw an upward trend from the opening session amid the positive global cues and maintained the momentum for most parts of the day. The 30-share BSE SENSEX ended at 74,671.28, up 941.12 points, or 1.27%, while the NIFTY finished at 22,643.4, climbing 223.45 points, or 0.99%.

Among the 11 brokerage stocks reviewed in today’s market wrap, five closed with gains of more than 10%.

SMC Global Securities, Dolat Algotech, Geojit Financial Services, ICICI Securities and IIFL Securities were the gainers among leading brokerage stocks. SMC Global Securities emerged as the top performer, closing with a substantial gain of 10.66%, bouncing back from losses in the previous session. Dolat Algotech, which was the top performer in the previous session, continued its positive momentum on April 29 as well.

Meanwhile, after two consecutive days of losses, Geojit Financial Services ended in the green. IIFL Securities, which closed in the red in the previous session, ended in the positive territory on Monday.

Motilal Oswal Financial Services and 5Paisa Capital, two of the notable gainers in the previous session, ended with losses today. Anand Rathi Wealth, which saw marginal gains in the last session, also closed lower today. Apart from these, Angel One ended in the red for the second consecutive session.
