Angel One, Samman Capital and Tata Communications cross their 200 EMA levels on Friday

The Indian benchmark indices have recouped partially from the previous day’s loss as the NIFTY50 jumped to 24,000 levels and the SENSEX soared over 500 points on Friday. However, the indices are set for a weekly loss as crude oil prices soared almost 10% this week amid renewed hostilities in the Middle East.

The broader market activity also remained muted, with a positive bias as the NIFTY Midcap 100 index turned in the red with minor losses, while the NIFTY Smallcap 100 traded with just 60-point gains on Friday afternoon.

At the sectoral level, the NIFTY Mid-small IT & Telecom index stood as the top gainer with 0.9% gains, followed by Private Bank (+0.5%) and Oil & Gas (+0.4%). On the flip side, NIFTY Consumer Durable (-0.9%), Realty (-0.6%), and Chemical (-0.4%) were the top sectoral losers.

Despite the broader weakness, a few mid- and small-cap stocks are crossing their important threshold of 200-EMA on Friday.

Tata Communications

The shares have also crossed their 200-EMA level of ₹1,735 apiece on Friday. On a YTD basis, the shares have delivered muted returns of -3.2% and positive returns of +12% in the past twelve months.

Shares of leading Non-banking Financial Services player, Samman Capital, jumped over 3% on Friday. The shares made an intraday high of ₹161 apiece on the NSE, crossing its 200-EMA level of ₹155 apiece on the NSE. In 2026, the shares have delivered moderate returns of 10% on a YTD basis and 16% in the past twelve months.

Shares of one of India’s top five broking firms, Angel One, traded over 4% higher on Friday amid broader optimism around the capital market stocks. The shares jumped over 7% in the intraday trading session, hitting an intraday high of ₹308 apiece on the NSE, crossing its 200-EMA level of ₹291 apiece. The shares have delivered over 26% returns in 2026 on a YTD basis and 32% in the past twelve months.
