Wheels India shares jump over 5% on launching QIP; check floor price and other details

Wheels India share price: Shares of Wheels India surged over 5% on Friday, September 25, as the company launched its qualified institutional placements (QIPs) on September 24.

According to a regulatory filing, the company’s Fundraiser Committee approved launching the QIP at its meeting on Thursday, September 24.

The firm also set the floor price at ₹2,197.10 per equity share, with the option to offer a discount of up to 5%.

It further stated that the company will determine the issue price for the ₹180 crore QIP in consultation with the lead manager on September 25.

“We also wish to inform you that a meeting of the Committee is scheduled to be held on September 25, 2026, to consider and approve inter alia the Issue Price of the Equity Shares to be issued pursuant to the QIP, including a discount, if any thereto, as permitted under the SEBI ICDR Regulations, for the Equity Shares to be allotted to qualified institutional buyers pursuant to the Issue,” the filing read.

The board of directors had approved the issuance of equity shares by way of a preferential issue on a private placement basis on August 19.

In a regulatory filing dated August 19, the company said its board approved issuance of up to 12.69 lakh shares, with a face value of ₹10 each, at an issue price of ₹1,418 per unit, aggregating up to ₹180 crore.

Wheels India Q1 results

The company recorded a 27.7% year-on-year (YoY) surge in its consolidated net profit to ₹38.3 crore in the April-June quarter of the 2026-27 financial year (Q1 FY27), compared with ₹30 crore in the year-ago period.

Its consolidated revenue from operations stood at ₹1,491 crore during the quarter under review, reflecting a 17.8% YoY jump from ₹1,266 crore in the first quarter of the 2025-26 fiscal year (Q1 FY26).

Wheels India stock performance

Shares of Wheels India jumped as much as 5.5% to hit an intraday high of ₹2,300 per unit on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Friday, September 25, compared with Thursday’s closing price of ₹2,180.80 apiece.

At around 11:16 AM, the scrip was trading 2.68% higher at ₹2,239.30 per equity share.

The stock has advanced 3% in the past week and 49% over the month. On a year-to-date (YTD) basis, it has rallied 159%.

While the shares hit a 52-week high of ₹2,498 per unit on September 10, 2026, it touched a year’s low of ₹705.85 apiece on January 27, 2026.
