Shares of VA Tech Wabag jumped over 3% on Monday morning after the company announced securing a new order from Reliance Industries. The shares made an intraday high of ₹2,064 apiece on the NSE.

The company announced on Monday morning through its exchange filing that it secured a medium order worth ₹100-₹250 crore from Reliance Industries. The exchange filing read, “VA TECH WABAG, a leading pure-play multinational water technology group, secured a ‘Medium’ order from Reliance Industries Limited, towards Design, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply, Erection & Commissioning of an Effluent Treatment Plant (‘ETP’), at Dhirubhai Ambani Green Energy Giga Complex (DAGEGC), Jamnagar”.

The proposed order is expected to be completed in 13 months from the order announcement and will be designed to comprise chemical and biological treatment using state-of-the-art technologies, along with a sludge treatment incorporating low-temperature drying for efficient sludge management.

Commenting on the order win, Mr. Sivakumar V, Senior General Manager, Sales and Marketing, India Cluster, said, “This repeat order reinforces our long-standing relationship with RIL, a key customer, and reflects the continued trust and confidence RIL places in our capabilities.

VA Tech Wabag share price performance

The shares of VA Tech Wabag have delivered stellar returns in 2026 on a YTD basis, soaring over 50% and 32% in the past twelve months.

VA Tech Wabag Q1 results

In Q1FY27, the company’s revenue jumped over 20% to ₹886 crore, as compared to ₹734 crore in the same period last year. At the operational front, the EBITDA (Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation) jumped 21.7% YoY to ₹116 crore in the quarter ended June 2026, as compared to ₹95 crore in the quarter ended June 2025. Consequently, the profitability growth also remained strong at ₹90.1 crore, up 36.9% YoY from ₹65.8 crore in the same period last year.

Alongside this, the company’s order book scaled to ₹19,400 crore, up by ₹3,400 crore in the quarter.

Outlook

Besides reporting robust results during the quarter, the company also delivered a robust outlook and guidance for the coming 3-5 years. The company expects the order book to grow 3x and revenue to deliver a growth of 13-15% CAGR, and Operations and Maintenance (O&M) to grow to 20% of revenue.
