V-Mart Retail shares soar 13% as firm shares March quarter business updates; all numbers here

Shares of V-mart Retail rallied as much as 13.2% to touch intraday high of ₹547 apiece on Thursday, April 2, as the company shared a business update for the March quarter.

In a regulatory filing, the retail firm said its total revenue from operations for the quarter stood at ₹971 crore compared to ₹780 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year, reflecting a year-on-year (YoY) growth of 24%.

Its same-store sales growth (SSSG) was at 12% for the quarter, including V-Mart Retail’s at 12% and Unlimited at 9%.

For the quarter ended March 2026 (Q4 FY26), Vmart opened 29 stores and closed six, resulting in a total operating portfolio of 577 stores. It further added that this year marks the highest ever store additions for the company, with 92 store additions and 12 store closures.

V-Mart Retail said the 29 new stores include 11 in Uttar Pradesh, four in Tamil Nadu, three each in Bihar and West Bengal, two each in Jharkhand, Jammu and Kashmir, and Rajasthan, and one each in Chhattisgarh and Uttarakhand.

At 9:45 AM, V-Mart Retail shares were trading at ₹540.60 apiece on the National Stock Exchange, rising 11.88%.

In a month, shares of the firm have declined nearly 12%, while for six months’ time, they have tumbled 32.5%. On a year-on-year basis, V-Mart Retail shares have fallen 34%. The company has a market capitalisation of ₹892.66 crore.

Shares of the company had touched their one-year high of ₹945 apiece on June 23, 2025, while their 52-week low of ₹457.90 was hit on March 30, 2026.

V-Mart Retail Q3 earnings

V-Mart Retail had reported a 22.8% increase in net profit at ₹87.99 crore for the December quarter of FY26. The company had posted a net profit of ₹71.63 crore in the October-December quarter of the previous fiscal.

Its revenue from operations was up 9.7% to ₹1,126.38 crore in the December quarter. It was ₹1,026.73 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.

V-Mart's total expenses in the December quarter were up 5.7% to ₹1,015.32 crore. The total income of V-Mart, including other income, in the December quarter, was ₹1,130.34 crore, up 9.73%.
