TVS Motors July sales jump 38%, Electric vehicle sales soar 158%; shares trade in green

Shares of TVS Motors jumped over 1% in early trading on Monday after the company announced its July business updates. The shares made an intraday high of ₹4,373 apiece on the NSE and traded 0.3% higher at 9:40 am on Monday.

The exchange filing read, “TVS Motor Company, part of TVS VENU, recorded monthly sales growth of 38% with sales of 629,675 units in July 2026 as against 456,350 units in July 2025”

Overall two-wheeler sales soared 38% YoY to 603,138 units in July 2026, up from 438,790 units in the same month last year. The domestic two-wheeler segment saw a 42% YoY jump to 437,394 units in July 2026 as against 308,720 units in July 2025.

The electric vehicle space continued to gather traction with a 158% YoY jump in sales at 60,934 units as compared to 23,605 units in the same period last year. TVS Motors holds the top position in the electric vehicle space with a 27% market share as of July 2026. Followed by Bajaj Auto and Ather.

The exchange filing also said, “Total International Business sales registered a growth of 29% with sales of 184,264 units in July 2026 as against 142,629 units in July 2025. Two-wheeler sales registered a growth of 27% with sales of 165,744 units in July 2026 as against 130,070 units in July 2025.

The shares have delivered 14% YTD returns in 2026 and 51% returns in the past four months, aided by strong optimism around automobile stocks.

TVS Motors Q1FY27 results

The Q1FY27 revenue jumped 33% YoY to ₹16,296 crore as compared to ₹12,210 crore. Similarly, the operating profit for the quarter also improved from ₹1,803 crore to ₹2,343 crore in Q1FY27. Lastly, the net profit jumped 67% YoY to ₹1,058 crore as compared to ₹643 crore.
