Stock market live: The equity benchmark indices, SENSEX and NIFTY50, were trading in negative territory in the morning trade on Tuesday, June 3, led by selling in blue-chip counters such as ICICI Bank, L&T, Bharti Airtel, and Bajaj Finance, among others.

However, a few stocks bucked the trend and were trading with impressive gains in an otherwise not-so-exciting market. The list includes names such as Transrail Lighting and Frontier Springs.

Shares of Transrail Lighting, one of the leading Indian engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) companies, jumped as much as 5.5% to ₹674 apiece during the trade.

The stock rallied as the company secured fresh orders of ₹534 crore across domestic and international geographies.

Commenting on the order win, Randeep Narang, MD & CEO, said, “We are pleased to begin the new financial year with a steady build-up in order inflows, led by wins in our core Transmission & Distribution segment. These new orders also include our biggest substation job, which we are going to execute in Africa. With FY26 order intake already crossing ₹1,600 crore, we remain focused on efficient execution and timely delivery.”

Transrail Lighting is one of the leading engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) companies with a primary focus on the power transmission and distribution business. It is a global enterprise with a footprint in 59 countries across five continents. The company provides turnkey solutions from design, engineering, supply, manufacture, construction, and testing services across all its business verticals, which include power T&D, civil construction, railways, pole & lighting, and solar EPC.

Shares of Transrail Lighting Ltd surged nearly 37% on December 27, 2024, the first day of trading against the issue price of ₹432.

The stock listed at ₹585.15, reflecting a jump of 35.45% from the issue price on the BSE.

On the NSE, shares of the firm began the day at ₹590, surging 36.57%.

Frontier Springs

Shares of Frontier Springs zoomed as much as 9.98% to ₹3,898 apiece on the BSE. The stock was in heavy demand, as the company has received orders for air spring assemblies aggregating to a total value of ₹92.6 crore (inclusive of GST) from Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala, and Modern Coach Factory, Raebareli.

Frontier Springs is mainly engaged in the production of L.H.B. springs and hot coiled compression springs and forging items for wagons, locomotives and carriages. The company was incorporated in 1981.
