SUMMARY

During the session, the SENSEX rallied as much as 0.5% to hi an intraday high of 73,968.05. Meanwhile, the NIFTY50 surged as much as 0.43% to reach the session’s peak of 23,162.70.
On September 25, the 30-share BSE SENSEX advanced by 315.20 points or 0.43% to close at 73,895.74, while the 50-share NSE NIFTY ended higher by 0.34% or 77.40 points at 23,140.50.
Thr top gainers in the index included Axis Bank (2.14%), Asian Paints (1.48%), Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) (1.19%), HCL Technologies (1.13%) and Coal India (0.71%).
On the other hand, Max Healthcare Institute (-3.37%), Tata Motors PV (-2%), Trent (-1.85%), Infosys (-1.79%) and Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) (-1.42%) were among the top losers.
NSE’s NIFTY Midcap 100 gauge fell by 0.14% or 84.15 points to close at 60,906.00 on September 25.
The index was weighed down by Fortis Healthcare (-4.50%), One 97 Communications (-3.54%), PB Fintech (-3.41%), Multi-Commodity Exchange (-3%) and the Federal Bank (-2.28%), which were among the laggards.
On the flip side, the top winners were Max Financial Services (3.40%), Supreme Industries (3.38%), Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA) (2.82%), Blue Star (2.62%) and Info Edge (India) (2.52%).
The NIFTY Smallcap 100 index rose 0.15% or 30.50 points to end at 19,715.25.
The top gainers included Whirlpool of India, which closed 5.87% higher, following the company’s latest clarification that it is not involved in discussions or negotiations with the parent entity looking to sell its stake in the subsidiary firm.
Investors were focusing on the company’s stock with elevated trading interest as the company, while rejecting involvement in discussions or negotiations, did not refute the intent of its parent company looking to sell its stakeholding.
The other top gainers were Welspun Corp (4.91%), HBL Engineering (4.54%), Kaynes Technologies (4%) and Castrol India (3.49%).
Share of Welspun Corp surged after the company’s US subsidiary, Welspun Tubular LLC, secured its largest-ever order for High-Frequency Induction Welded (HFIW) pipes, valued at around $412.5 million (₹4,000 crore).
The pipes will be manufactured at its upgraded facility in Little Rock, USA, with execution scheduled for FY28 and FY29. With the order, Welspun Corp’s global order book has reached a record $4.7 billion (around ₹45,000 crore).
On the contrary, Ola Electric Mobility (-9.83%), Meesho (-6.68%), Netweb Technologies India (-2.20%), Inventurus Knowledge Solutions (-2.19%) and Capri Global Capital (-2.18%) were among the top losers.
