Top gainers and losers on September 15: Cipla, Mahindra & Mahindra, Asian Paints fall over 1.6%; check full list

The Indian equity benchmarks snapped their five-day winning streak on Monday, September 15, dragged down by losses in index heavyweights like Infosys, Mahindra & Mahindra, Tata Consultancy Services, Asian Paints and Titan. The SENSEX fell as much as 160 points and NIFTY50 index touched an intraday low of 25,048. The SENSEX ended 119 points or 0.15% lower at 81,786 and NIFTY50 index declined 45 points to settle at 25,069.

NIFTY gainers and losers

Cipla was top loser in the NIFTY50 index, the stock fell 1.75% to close at ₹1,547. Mahindra & Mahindra (-1.66%), Asian Paints (-1.63%), Shriram Finance (-1.22%) and Dr Reddy's Labs (-1.19%) were also among the losers.

On the flipside, Jio Financial Services was top gainer in the NIFTY50 index, the stock rose 1.38% to close at ₹315.50. Bajaj Finance (0.84%), Eternal (0.68%), Ultratech Cement (0.40%) and Bajaj Auto (0.34%) were also among the losers.

NIFTY Midcap 100 gainers and losers

NIFTY Midcap 100 index advanced 0.44% or 259 points to close at 58,486. Vodafone Idea was top gainer in the NIFTY Midcap 100 index, the stock rose 7.18% to close at ₹8.21 after CNBC TV18 reported that CNBC TV18 reported that the Supreme Court has listed its plea against the Department of Telecom's (DoT) additional Adjusted Gross Revenue (AGR) demand for hearing on September 19.

SBI Cards (5.24%), Tube Investment (4.14%), Tata Communications (3.67%) and Tata Communications (3.67%) were also among gainers in the NIFTY Midcap 100 index.

On the other hand, Bandhan Bank (-1.78%), Biocon (-1.68%), Glenmark (-1.66%), Escorts Kubota (-1.48%) and ABFRL (-1.41%) were losers in the NIFTY Midcap 100 index.

NIFTY Smallcap 100 gainers and losers

NIFTY Smallcap 100 index rose 0.76% or 137 points to close at 18,127. As many as 66 shares in the NIFTY Smallcap 100 index ended higher while 34 closed lower.

Anant Raj Developers was top gainer in the NIFTY Smallcap 100 index, the stock rose 10% to close at ₹586.50 after Business Standard reported that the government is considering incentives for data-centre developers.
Business Standard report stated that the government has proposed a tax exemption of up to 20 years for data-centre developers, subject to meeting targets on capacity addition, power usage effectiveness and employment generation.

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) is said to be likely to request the Ministry of Finance to permit input tax credit (ITC) on goods and services tax charged on capital assets used in data-centre construction, heating, ventilation and air-conditioning, among other items, the report added.

IRCON rose 6.84% mirroring gains in other railway stocks. Aegis Logistics (6.66%), RailTel (6.45%) and IFCI (5.58%) were also among the gainers.

On the contrary, Garden Reach Shipbuilders (-3.49%), Devyani International (-2.21%), Neuland Labs (-2.20%), Aster DM Healthcare (-2.10%) and Dr Lal Pathlabs (-1.43%) were among losers in the NIFTY Smallcap 100 index.
