KEC International was top loser in the NIFTY Smallcap 100 index, the stock dropped 9% to close at ₹710 after it received a letter dated November 18, 2025, from Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (“PGCIL”).

The Indian equity benchmarks resumed its winning streak on Wednesday, November 19, after a day's pause in the previous session led by gains in information technology heavyweights like Infosys, Wipro, HCL Technologies and Tata Consultancy Services. The SENSEX rose as much as 564 points and NIFTY50 index closed above its psychologically important level of 26,000.
The SENSEX ended 513 points higher at 85,186 and NIFTY50 index advanced 143 points to settle at 26,053.
Max Healthcare was top gainer in the NIFTY50 index, the stock rose 4.3% to close at ₹1,165. HCL Technologies (4.19%), Infosys (3.74%), Wipro (2.14%) and Tata Consultancy Services (1.94%) were also among the gainers.
On the flipside, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles (-2.77%), Coal India (-1.21%), Maruti Suzuki (-1.19%), Bajaj Finance (-0.77%) and Adani Ports (-0.74%) were top laggards in the NIFTY50 index.
NIFTY Midcap 100 index advanced 0.21% or 127 points to close at 60,949. As many as 58 shares ended lower while 39 closed higher.
Coforge was top gainer in the NIFTY Midcap 100 index, the stock climbed 4.41% to close at ₹1,863, mirroring gains in other IT companies.
Persistent Systems (3.8%), 360One Wam (3.81%), Sona Comstar (3.78%) and Bharat Forge (3.39%) were also among the gainers.
On the other hand, Waaree Energies dropped 2.89% to close at ₹3,187 after company informed that the Income Tax Department conducted searches at its offices.
In an exchange filing on Tuesday, Waaree Energies stated that it is extending full co-operation to the IT Department officials in their probe.
"We hereby inform that today certain officials of the Income Tax Department visited some of the company’s offices and its facilities in India for conducting an investigation under the Income Tax Act, 1961. The proceedings are underway and the company is extending its full co-operation to the officials," it said.
Biocon (-2.8%), APL Apollo (-2.6%), HUDCO (-2.44%) and Dixon Technologies (-1.7%) were also among losers in the NIFTY Midcap 100 index.

The letter said that the company has been excluded from participating in tenders of PGCIL and the award of contracts by it for a period of nine months from November 18, 2025, without affecting any of the existing projects of PGCIL under execution, for alleged transgression of contractual provisions in relation to an earlier matter communicated to the stock exchanges vide letter dated March 24, 2025.
HBL Engineering (-9.07%), MRPL (-2.97%), Five Star Business Finance (-2.88%) and Aster DM Healthcare (-2.84%) were also top losers in the NIFTY Smallcap 100 index.
On the contrary, Aditya Birla Real Estate (3.33%), Cyient (2.39%), Firstsource Solutions (2.29%), Narayana Hrudayalaya (2.22%) and Deepak Fertilisers (2.07%) were top gainers in the NIFTY Smallcap 100 index.
