Top gainers and losers on November 13: Asian Paints rises 4%, Hindalco up 3%, Eternal falls 2%; check list

Top gainers and losers: The Indian benchmark indices, SENSEX and NIFTY50, closed flat on Thursday, November 13, following a volatile session, with metal stocks leading the gains amid positive global cues.

The SENSEX rose 12.16 points or 0.01% to close at 84,478.67. Similarly, the 50-share NIFTY increased by 3.35 points or 0.01% to end at 25,879.15.

NIFTY50 top gainers and losers

The 50-share NIFTY index was supported by buying in Asian Paints, which closed 3.77% higher at ₹2,874.30 apiece.

This comes after it reported a 46.8% YoY surge in its consolidated net profit to ₹1,018.23 crore in the September FY26 quarter, compared to ₹693.66 crore in the year-ago period. Its revenue from sales was up 6.38% to ₹8,513.70 crore during the quarter against ₹8,003.02 crore recorded in Q2FY25.

It was followed by Hindalco Industries (2.47%), InterGlobe Aviation (1.99%), ICICI Bank (1.95%), and Larsen & Toubro (1.27%), which were among the top gainers of the day.

On the other hand, the top losers pack was led by Eternal, which declined 3.69%.

Tata Motors CV (-2.84%), Mahindra & Mahindra (-1.46%), Eicher Motors (-1.20%), and Tata Steel (1.15%) trailed behind Eternal.

Tata Steel stock witnessed selling pressure after T. V. Narendran, CEO & MD of Tata Steel, as reported by CNBC-TV18 on Thursday, said it was difficult for the company to say if UK EBITDA will turn positive by Q4 and that the UK remains a vulnerable market for the company. However, the company’s consolidated net profit grew over fourfold to ₹3,183.09 crore.

NIFTY Midcap 100 top gainers and losers

NSE’s midcap gauge, the NIFTY Midcap 100, declined 210.25 points, or 0.35%, to 60,692.05 on Thursday.

The index was weighed down by Cochin Shipyard, which slipped 4.63%. The stock fell on the back of a 43.08% YoY decline in consolidated net profit to ₹107.53 crore, and a 2.15% YoY slip in revenue from operations to ₹1,118.59 crore in Q2FY25.

The top laggards included Page Industries (-3.36%), Swiggy (-3.30%), Union Bank of India (-2.83%), and Hitachi Energy India (-2.81%).

On the contrary, Ashok Leyland closed 5.59% higher. It was followed by Prestige Estates Projects (2.98%), Tata Communications (2.62%), Biocon (2.61%), and Muthoot Finance (2.26%), which were among the top winners.

NIFTY Smallcap 100 top gainers and losers

The NIFTY Smallcap 100 settled at 18,183.65, down 66.80 points or 0.37% on November 13.

It was pulled down by selling in Jyoti CNC Automation(-4.54%), BLS International Services (-4.31%), Tejas Networks (-4.26%), Radico Khaitan (-3.72%), and Ircon International (-3.16%).

On the flipside, Data Patterns (7.55%), PG Electroplast (6.16%), Five-Star Business Finance (4.23%), Signatureglobal (3.48%), and Kajaria Ceramics (1.90%) were among the top gainers.
