Top gainers and losers on June 17: Adani Enterprises, Eternal, Dr Reddy's Labs fall over 2%; check full list

The Indian equity benchmarks ended lower on Tuesday, June 17, on the back of weak global cues after geopolitical tensions between Israel and Iran escalated. Israel appeared to be expanding its air campaign on Tehran five days after its surprise attack on Iran’s military and nuclear programme, as U.S. President Donald Trump posted an ominous message warning residents of the city to evacuate, according to news agency AP.

The SENSEX fell as much as 369 points and NIFTY50 index touched an intraday low of 24,814 dragged down by index heavyweights like HDFC Bank, Reliance Industries, Sun Pharma, Bajaj Finance and Eternal.

The SENSEX ended 213 points lower at 81,583 and NIFTY50 index declined 93 points or 0.37% to close at 24,853.

NIFTY50 top gainers and losers

Adani Enterprises was top loser in the NIFTY50 index, the stock fell 2.31% to close at ₹2,485. Eternal (-2.06%), Dr Reddy's Labs (-2%), Tata Motors (-1.99%) and Sun Pharma (-1.91%) were also among the losers.

On the flipside, Tech Mahindra was top gainer in the NIFTY50 basket, the stock rose 1.66% to close at ₹1,722. Infosys (0.87%), Asian Paints (0.86%), Maruti Suzuki (0.54%) and Tata Consultancy Services (0.45%) were also among the gainers.

NIFTY Midcap 100 gainers and losers

NIFTY Midcap 100 index dropped 0.66% or 389 points to close at 58,379. As many as 79 shares in the NIFTY Midcap 100 index ended lower while 21 ended higher.

Sona Comstar was top loser in the NIFTY Midcap 100 index, the stock fell 4.04% to close at ₹480. Lupin (-3.60%), Waaree Energies (-3.52%), Hindustan Zinc (-3.38%) and Aurobindo Pharma (-3.09%) were also among the laggards.

On the other hand, Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders was top gainer in the NIFTY Midcap 100 index, the stock rose 4.44% to close at ₹3,306. Vishal Mega Mart (4.04%), AB Capital (2.51%), PB Fintech (2.05%) and Supreme Industries (1.60%) were also among the gainers.

NIFTY Smallcap 100 gainers and losers

NIFTY Smallcap 100 index fell 0.7% or 129 points to close at 18,420. As many as 72 shares in the NIFTY Smallcap 100 index ended lower while 28 edged higher.

Reliance Power was top loser in the NIFTY Smallcap 100 index, the stock fell 5% to close at ₹64. Credit Access Grameen (-4.28%), Tata Teleservices (-4.19%), International Gemmological Institute (-4.05%) and Hindustan Copper (-3.79%) were also among the losers.

On the contrary, Inventurus Knowledge Solutions (7.03%), Nuvama (4.79%), Navin Fluorine (3.67%), Garden Reach Shipbuilders (3.47%) and Mahanagar Gas (3.08%) were among the gainers.
