Top gainers and losers on July 15: Hero MotoCorp, Bajaj Auto, Sun Pharma rise over 2.76%; check full list

The Indian equity benchmarks snapped their four-day losing streak on Tuesday, July 15, led by gains in index heavyweights like HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Infosys, Sun Pharma, Mahindra & Mahindra and Bharti Airtel. The SENSEX rose as much as 490 points and NIFTY50 index touched an intraday high of 25,245 amid stable cues from global markets. The SENSEX ended 363 points higher at 82,616 and NIFTY50 index advanced 113 points to close at 25,196.

NIFTY50 top gainers and losers

Hero MotoCorp was top gainer in the NIFTY50 index, the stock rose 4.95% to close at ₹4,462 after the company said that it is accelerating global expansion and plans to extend its presence into Germany, France, Spain, and the UK in the second quarter of 2025-26.

In his address to shareholders in the company's annual report for 2024-25, Chairman Pawan Munjal said Hero MotoCorp is "Investing in the future -- India and beyond" and through the company's own platforms, including "the Hero for Startups" initiative it is mentoring next-generation entrepreneurs, offering them R&D access and opening pathways to market.

Sun Pharma rose 2.76% to close at ₹1,729 after the company on Monday said that it has inked a settlement pact with US-based Incyte Corporation regarding Leqselvi, a drug used for severe hair loss.

Under the terms of agreement, the parties will seek dismissal of the pending Leqselvi litigation in the US District Court for the District of New Jersey, and Sun and Incyte will mutually release each other of all claims that were raised or could have been raised in that litigation, the Mumbai-based drug major said in a statement.

Bajaj Auto (2.81%), Shriram Finance (2.5%) and Apollo Hospitals (1.8%) were also among the gainers.

On the other hand, HCL Technologies fell 3.26% to close at ₹1,567 after its June quarter earnings failed to impress investors. SBI Life (-1.5%), Eternal (-1.37%), HDFC Life (-0.90%) and Tata Steel (-0.71%) were also among the losers.

NIFTY Midcap 100 gainers and losers

NIFTY Midcap 100 index rose 0.95% or 560 points to close at 59,613. As many as 74 shares in the index ended higher while 26 closed lower.

Patanjali Foods was top gainer in the NIFTY Midcap 100 index, the stock rose 3.9% to close at ₹1,739 after the company post market hours on Monday informed exchanges that its board will meet on July 17 to consider and approve a proposal for issue of bonus shares.

HDFC AMC (3.78%), BSE (3.71%), Tata Elxsi (3.32%) and PI Industries (3.03%) were also among the gainers.

On the flipside, Ola Electric fell 6.52% to close at ₹44 on account of profit booking a day after surging 20%. Premiere Energies (-3.41%), Mankind Pharma (-1.87%), IDFC First Bank (-1.64%) and Nykaa (-1.61%) were also among the laggards.

NIFTY Smallcap 100 gainers and losers

NIFTY Smallcap 100 index rose 0.95% or 180 points to close at 19,135. As many as 76 shares ended higher while 24 closed lower.

Swan Energy was top gainer in the NIFTY Smallcap 100 index, the stock rose 10.88% to close at ₹500 on the back of heavier than usual trading volumes. Trading volume in Swan Energy shares spiked by 12.4 times to 3.03 crore against average trading volume of 24.55 lakh shares.

Anant Raj Industries (6.52%), Piramal Pharma (4.82%), Crompton Greaves and Consumer Electricals (3.94%) and Natco Pharma (3.92%) were also among the gainers.

On the contrary, Tejas Network fell 6.36% to close at ₹653.95 after the company reported a consolidated loss of ₹193.87 crore in the first quarter ended June 2025, mainly due to a decline in sales.

The company, which supplied 4G gears to state-owned BSNL, had posted a profit of ₹77.48 crore a year ago.

Inox Wind (-6.55%), Five-Star Business Finance (-3.79%), Credit Access Graameen (-1.89%) and Brainbees Solutions (-1.82%) were also among the losers.
