Top gainers and losers on July 11: HUL rises 5%, TCS, M&M decline 3%; check full list

The benchmark indices SENSEX and NIFTY50 closed in the red for the third session in a row on Friday, July 11. They were weighed down by selling in IT, auto and energy stocks along with tariff-related uncertainties and mixed global market trends.

SENSEX dropped 689.81 points or 0.83% to settle at 82,500.47. Similarly, NIFTY dropped 205.40 points or 0.81% to 25,149.85.

NIFTY50 top gainers and losers

The 50-share NIFTY index was dragged down by TCS, which lost as much as 3.47% as it admitted experiencing “demand contractions” on the back of continued macroeconomic and geopolitical uncertainties. It reported a 6% YoY surge in its net profit to ₹12,760 crore in Q1FY26.

Mahindra & Mahindra (-2.92%), Hero MotoCorp (-2.74%), Wipro (-2.62%) and Bajaj Auto (-2.54%) were among the top losers of the day.

On the flip side, Hindustan Unilever closed 4.63% higher after appointing Priya Nayar as its first female CEO.

The gains were also led by SBI Life Insurance Company (1.37%), Sun Pharma (0.71%), IndusInd Bank (0.64%) and Axis Bank (0.63%).

NIFTY Midcap 100 top gainers and losers

The NIFTY Midcap 100 index declined 0.88% or 517.75 points to close at 58,642.20 on Friday. The midcap gauge was pulled down by selling in IREDA, falling 5.68%, followed by BSE Ltd (-3.65%), Solar Industries India (-3.16%), Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders (-3.10%) and SRF (-2.83%), which were among the top laggards.
On the contrary, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals soared 14.28%. The other top gainers included NTPC Green (3.65%), Vishal Mega Mart (2.41%), Mankind Pharma (1.58%), and Alkem Laboratories (1.42%).

NIFTY Smallcap 100 top gainers and losers

NSE’s smallcap gauge fell as much as 1.02% or 192.8 points to 18,763.45. It was pulled down by Amber Enterprises (-3.80%), Ramkrishna Forgings (-3.70%), BEML (-3.69%), NATCO Pharma (-3.64%) and Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (-3.62%).

On the other hand, Piramal Enterprises (4.37%), Neuland Laboratories (3.54%), Ramco Cements (3.14%), Narayana Hrudayalaya (1.59%) and CreditAccess Grameen (1.55%) were among the top gainers.
