Top gainers and losers on July 1: Reliance Industries, Bharat Electronics, Apollo Hospitals rise over 1.75%; check full list

The Indian equity benchmarks resumed their up move on Tuesday, July 1, after a day's pause in the previous session. For most part of the day SENSEX and NIFTY50 indices traded in a narrow range as gains in index heavyweights like Reliance Industries, HDFC Bank, Bharat Electronics, Kotak Mahindra Bank and Infosys were offset with losses in ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Tata Consultancy Services and Eternal. The SENSEX ended 91 points or 0.11% higher at 83,697 and NIFTY50 index advanced 25 points or 0.1% to close at 25,542.

NIFTY50 gainers and losers

Apollo Hospitals was top gainer in the NIFTY50 index, the stock rose 3.63% to close at ₹7,505 after its board on Monday approved separate listing of its pharmacy business.

Bharat Electronics advanced 2.7% to close at record high of ₹433 after the company informed exchanges that it won a new order worth ₹528 crore.

Reliance Industries (1.75%), Asian Paints (1.24%) and SBI Life (1.19%) were also among the gainers.

On the flipside, Nestle India was top loser in the NIFTY50 index, the stock fell 2.22% to close at ₹2,410. Axis Bank (-2.14%), Shriram Finance (-1.53%), Trent (-1.29%) and Eternal (-1.25%) were also among the losers.

NIFTY Midcap 100 gainers and losers

NIFTY Midcap 100 index ended 8 points higher at 59,750. As many as 58 shares in the index closed lower while 48 ended higher.

IDFC First Bank was top gainer in the NIFTY Midcap 100 index, the stock rose 5.85% to close at ₹77. Tata Communications (3.53%), Kalyan Jewellers (3.02%), NTPC Green (3.02%) and Federal Bank (2.67%) were also among the gainers.

On the other hand, NMDC (-2.93%), Ola Electric (-2.48%), Page Industries (-2.44%), SBI Cards (-2.35%) and Solar Industries (-2.26%) were among the laggards in the NIFTY Midcap 100 index.

NIFTY Smallcap 100 gainers and losers

NIFTY Smallcap 100 index fell 0.1% or 19 points to close at 19,056. As many as 57 shares in the index ended lower while 43 ended higher.

Go Digit was top loser in the NIFTY Smallcap 100 index, the stock fell 4.78% to close at ₹343. Firstsource Solutions (-4.48%), Aegis Logistics (-3.84%), PG Electroplast (-3.80%) and Narayana Hrudayalaya (-3.43%) were also among the losers.

On the contrary, HBL Engineering was top gainer in the NIFTY Smallcap 100 index, the stock jumped 5.25% to close at ₹624. Amber Enterprises (4.58%), Credit Access Grameen (4.06%), Laurus Labs (3.46%) and CESC (3.03%) were also among the gainers in the NIFTY Smallcap 100 index.
