Top gainers and losers on April 15: IndiGo, Power Grid, Eternal shares rise over 4%; check full list

The Indian equity benchmarks ended sharply higher on Wednesday, April 15, as sentiment improved after United States President Donald Trump said the war involving the United States and Israel against Iran is “close to over,” even as the recent talks between the warring parties failed to reach an agreement. The SENSEX surged as much as 1,423 points and NIFTY50 index touched an intraday high of 24,280.90.

The SENSEX advanced 1,264 points to close at 78,111 and NIFTY50 index rose 389 points to settle at 24,231.

NIFTY50 top gainers and losers

InterGlobe Aviation was top gainer in the NIFTY50 index, the stock rose 4.35% to close at ₹4,620 after crude oil prices dropped in international markets. Brent crude futures declined below $100 per barrel.

Power Grid (4.21%), Eternal (4.14%), Max Healthcare (4.06%) and Wipro (3.46%) were also among the gainers.

On the flipside, Dr Reddy's Labs (-1.23%), Bharti Airtel (-0.72%), ICICI Bank (-0.3%), Axis Bank (-0.16%) and ONGC (-0.02%) were notable losers in the NIFTY50 index.

NIFTY Midcap 100 top gainers and losers

NIFTY Midcap 100 index 2.2% or 1,264 points to close at 58,778. As many as 90 shares ended higher while 10 closed lower.

Groww was top gainer in the NIFTY Midcap 100 index, the stock rose 6.95% to close at ₹20225 after global investment firm BoFA Securities said that Groww is well positioned to capitalize on India's retail investing tailwinds and it expects revenue growth of 30% CAGR over FY26-28.

Suzlon Energy (6.85%), RVNL (5.59%), Dixon Technologies (5.46%) and OFSS (5.38%) were also among the top gainers in the NIFTY Midcap 100 index.

On the other hand, Indus Towers was top loser in the NIFTY Midcap 100 index, the stock declined 3.88% to close at ₹421 after global investment firm Jefferies said that company's revenue could get adversely impacted going ahead as most of its tower sites are set for renewal in 2026 and 2027 and elevated capital expenditure will impact its free cash flows (FCF).

ICICI AMC (-3.83%), Oil India (-2.79%), Indian Bank (-2.43%) and Lenskart Solutions (-1.98%) were also among the laggards in the NIFTY Midcap 100 index.

NIFTY Smallcap 100 top gainers and losers

NIFTY Smallcap 100 index rose 2.35% or 394 points to close at 17,156. A total of 87 shares ended higher while 12 closed lower.

Deepak Fertilisers was top gainer in the NIFTY Smallcap 100 index, the stock rose 11.53% to close at ₹1,195.

Reliance Power (10.88%), PG Electroplast (10.3%), Afcons (9.01%) and Netweb Technologies (7.87%) were also among the top gainers.

On the contrary, Ather Energy (-3.97%), Delhivery (-1.87%), Wockhardt Pharma (-0.89%), Piramal Finance (-0.84%) and Cohance Lifesciences (-0.82%) were top losers in the NIFTY Smallcap 100 index.
