Top gainers and losers on April 10: Asian Paints, Eicher Motors, Bajaj Auto shares rise over 3.29%; check full list

The Indian equity benchmarks resumed their up move on Friday, April 10, after day’s pause in previous session and posted their best weekly gain in over five years as sentiment improved after United States and Iran agreed to a two-week ceasefire earlier this week. The SENSEX ended 919 points higher at 77,550 and NIFTY50 index advanced 275 points to close at 24,050.60.

For the week, SENSEX jumped 5.77% and NIFTY50 index soared 5.88%, posting best weekly gain since the first week of February 2021.

NIFTY50 top gainers and losers

Asian Paints was top gainer in the NIFTY50 index, the stock jumped 3.81% to close at ₹2,356 as crude oil prices stabilised below $100 per barrel for a second straight session.

Eicher Motors (3.75%), Bajaj Auto (3.29%), ICICI Bank (3.24%) and Mahindra & Mahindra (3.13%) were also among the top gainers in the NIFTY50 index.

On the flip side, Coal India (-4.14%), Sun Pharma (-3.62), Infosys (-3.02%), Tata Consultancy Services (-2.55%) and Tech Mahindra (-1.55%) were top losers in the NIFTY50 index.

NIFTY Midcap 100 top gainers and losers

NIFTY Midcap 100 index rose 1.52% or 865 points to settle at 57,843.95. A total of 89 shares ended higher while 11 closed lower.

Lenskart Solutions was top gainer in the NIFTY Midcap 100 index, the stock rose 6.37% to close at ₹547.

Adani Total Gas (5.84%), Tata Investment Corporation (5.38%), Exide Industries (4.74%) and ICICI AMC (4.58%) were also among the top gainers in the NIFTY Midcap 100 index.

On the other hand, Coforge (-3.31%), Mphasis (-2.36%), Info Edge (-1.04%), Persistent Systems (-0.79%) and Indus Towers (-0.31%) were top laggards in the NIFTY Midcap 100 index.

NIFTY Smallcap 100 top gainers and losers

NIFTY Smallcap 100 index climbed 1.65% or 274 points to close at 16,840. As many as 85 shares closed lower while 15 ended higher.

Cohance Lifesciences was top gainer in the NIFTY Smallcap 100 index, the stock surged 19% to close at ₹378 on the back of spike in trading activity.

Trading volume spiked by 49 times to 4.76 crore shares compared with an average trading volume of 9.74 lakh shares.

Ola Electric (11%), Tata Chemicals (8.38%), Urban Company (6.75%) and Son Comstar (6.01%) were also among the gainers.

Data Patterns (-2.83%), ITI (-2.01%), Wockhardt Pharma (-1.88%), Natco Pharma (-1.75%) and Sagility (-1.22%) were top losers in the NIFTY Smallcap 100 index.
