Top gainers and losers, December 30: Bajaj Auto, Hindalco, Shriram Finance shares rise over 2%; check full list

The Indian equity benchmarks ended little changed on Tuesday, December 30, as gains in Mahindra & Mahindra, Bharti Airtel, Axis Bank and State Bank of India were offset with losses in Infosys, Eternal, Reliance Industries, Bajaj Finance, IndiGo and Asian Paints amid expiry of December NIFTY50 and stock futures and option contracts.

The SENSEX traded in a range of 336 points and NIFTY50 index touched an intraday high of 25,976.75 and a low of 25,878.

The SENSEX ended 20 points lower at 84,675 and NIFTY50 index advanced 8 points to 25,950.

NIFTY50 top gainers and losers

Bajaj Auto was top gainer in the NIFTY50 index, the stock rose 2.32% to close at ₹9,298. Hindalco (2.12%), Shriram Finance (1.99%), Tata Steel (1.96%) and Mahindra & Mahindra (1.89%) were also among the gainers.

On the flipside, Eternal was top loser in the NIFTY50 index, the stock declined 2.21% to close at ₹276.60. Eicher Motors (-1.92%), Tata Consumer Products (-1.79%), Max Healthcare (-1.64%) and InterGlobe Aviation (-1.52%) were also among the laggards in the NIFTY50 index.

NIFTY Midcap 100 gainers and losers

NIFTY Midcap 100 index declined 0.15% or 87 points to close at 59,914. As many as 61 shares ended lower while 39 closed higher.

Coromandel International was top loser in the NIFTY Midcap 100 index, the stock fell 4.16% to settle at ₹2,265. Godfrey Phillips (-3.49%), Voltas (-2.31%), Bharti Hexacom (-2.26%) and IRCTC (-2.19%) were also among the losers in the NIFTY Midcap 100 index.

On the other hand, SAIL (5.38%), NALCO (5.35%), M&M Financial Services (5.14%), NMDC (3.2%) and Indian Bank (2.89%) were top gainers in the NIFTY Midcap 100 index.

NIFTY Smallcap 100 gainers and losers

NIFTY Smallcap 100 index declined 0.28% or 49 points to close at 17,519. As many as 60 shares ended lower while 40 closed higher.

Welspun Corp was top loser in the NIFTY Smallcap 100 index, the stock fell 4.11% to close at ₹792.90. PCBL (-3.57%), Reliance Power (-3.57%), NCC (-3.56%) and Credit Access Graameen (-3.23%) were also among the losers.

On the contrary, Hindustan Copper (8.93%), Navin Fluorine (4.61%), Radico Khaitan (4.16%), Aptus Value Housing Finance (3.92%) and JBM Auto (3.77%) were top gainers in the NIFTY Smallcap 100 index.
