Tata Motors shares jump 2% as Italian market regulator clears co's Iveco tender offer; key details to know

Tata Motors share price: Shares of Tata Motors CV Ltd advanced as much as 1.9% to hit an intraday high of ₹469.20 apiece on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Friday, September 4, as its indirect wholly owned subsidiary, TML CV Holdings B.V, received approval from Italy’s market regulator Consob for the offer document related to its voluntary tender offer for all common shares of Iveco Group N.V.

At around 10:36 AM, the stock was trading 0.94% higher at ₹464.70 per equity share. The scrip has advanced more than 4% over the month and 9% on a year-to-date (YTD) basis.

While the shares hit a 52-week high of ₹469.20 per unit on February 27, 2026, they touched a year’s low of ₹306.30 apiece on November 14, 2025.

The acceptance period for the offer, at a consideration of €14.10 per Iveco share, including dividend, will run from September 7 to October 26, 2026, unless extended, according to a regulatory filing.

The consideration will be paid to shareholders who tender the shares during the acceptance period on the fourth trading day following the end of the acceptance period, i.e., October 30, 2026, unless it is extended.

If the legal requirements are met, Tata Motors said that the acceptance period would be reopened for five trading days starting from the trading day following the payment day, i.e., for sessions on November 2, November 3, November 4, November 5 and November 6, 2026.

The company added that November 13, 2026, has been fixed as the payment date for the same.

The offer is being executed through TML CV Holdings B.V., a wholly owned subsidiary of TML CV Holdings Pte. Ltd., which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Motors CV.

Recent updates

Tata Motors recorded a 49% year-on-year (YoY) surge in its total commercial vehicle sales (international and domestic) to 44,411 units in August 2026, compared with 29,863 units in the same period last year.

Its international business grew 227% YoY to 7,792 units during the month under review, as against 2,382 units in August 2025.

The company’s total domestic CV sales stood at 36,619 units in August 2026, marking a 33% YoY increase from 27,481 units in the year-ago period.
