This is a 28.4% premium to the discovered price of ₹260.75 on the NSE in the pre-open session.

On the BSE, the stock got listed at ₹330.25, reflecting a premium of 26%.

In its exchange filing, Tata Motors (TMCV) said, "Trading Members of the Exchange are hereby informed that effective from November 12, 2025, the equity shares of Tata Motors Ltd (Scrip Code: 544569) are listed and admitted to dealings on the exchange in the list of 'T' Group Securities."

TMCV is now renamed as Tata Motors Ltd. So, now two entities are listed on the bourses – Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Limited (TMPV) and Tata Motors Ltd (formerly Tata Motors Commercial Vehicle or TMCV). However, the scrip name is TMCV.

In a quick background, in early 2024, Tata Motors announced the demerger of its businesses into two separate entities. As per the demerger, the auto major's commercial vehicles business and its related investments would be housed in one entity, while the passenger vehicles business, including PV (Passenger Vehicle), EV (Electric Vehicle), JLR (Jaguar Land Rover), and its related investments, will be part of the other firm.

Tata Motors' passenger vehicle arm has already started trading as a separate entity from October 14, 2025, which represents an important turn in the company's restructuring process.

A special trading session in October 2025 revealed the stock price of the passenger vehicle segment. The entity's name is Tata Motors Passenger Vehicle (TMPV).

The company had indicated that the CV arm will be listed in November 2025.

In October 2025, Tata Motors Ltd said it had been renamed as Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Limited. On Tuesday, October 14, the company conducted a special trading session to discover the price of the stock following the demerger of its CV business.

Tata Motors' demerger took effect from October 1.

Tata Motors CV business details

In its filing to stock exchanges, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicle said TML Commercial Vehicles Limited ('TMCV') intimated to the company (TMPV) on Monday, November 10, that it has received approval from BSE Limited and the National Stock Exchange of India Limited for the listing and trading of its equity shares, effective November 12, 2025.

The BSE notice on Monday said, "Trading members of the exchange are hereby informed that effective from Wednesday, November 12, 2025, the equity shares of Tata Motors Limited (formerly known as TML Commercial Vehicles Ltd) shall be listed and admitted to dealings on the exchange.

"TML Commercial Vehicles Limited shall be listed and admitted to dealings on the exchange in the list of T Group of Securities," the notice stated.

T Group shares are securities that are put into the the Trade to Trade segment by the stock exchanges. These stocks are not allowed for intraday trading.

The BSE notice added, "Further, in terms of SEBI circular No. CIR/MRD/DP/02/2012 dated January 20, 2012, and SEBI/HO/MRD-TPD1/CIR/P/2023/55 dated April 11, 2023, the scrip will be in the Trade-for-Trade segment for 10 trading days."

So, for the first 10 trading sessions, the newly listed CV stock will trade under the trade-for-trade segment, meaning no intraday trading.

Tata Motors CV sales

Tata Motors reported a 10% increase in total commercial vehicle sales at 37,530 units in October 2025, as compared to 34,259 units in the same month last year.

Domestic commercial vehicle sales were up 7% at 35,108 units last month, as against 32,708 units in October 2024, Tata Motors Ltd said in a statement.

International business posted sales of 2,422 units as compared to 1,551 units in the same month last year, up 56%, it added.
