Jaiprakash Associates, SBI, and other lenders: Banking names will be in focus today as Jaiprakash Associates Ltd, which is undergoing an insolvency process, on Wednesday said that a consortium of lenders has transferred their outstanding loans to National Asset Reconstruction Company Ltd (NARCL).
As per the filing, the consortium comprises SBI, ICICI Bank, IDBI Bank, Axis Bank, LIC, Canara Bank,
Bank of Maharashtra, IFCI, PNB,
UCO Bank, South Indian Bank, Punjab & Sind Bank, Jammu & Kashmir Bank, SIDBI, Standard Chartered Bank, Karur Vysya Bank, EXIM Bank, Bank of India, Indian Overseas Bank, Indian Bank, IndusInd Bank, Bank of Baroda, Union Bank of India, Central Bank of India, and SREI Equipment Finance Ltd.
The total amount of the debt transferred to the NARCL was not disclosed.
Sugar stocks: Shares of sugar manufacturers are expected to be in the focus today as sugar industry body ISMA has revised net production estimates of the sweetener downwards to 264 lakh tonnes in the current marketing year ending September.
In a statement on Wednesday, the Indian Sugar and Bio-Energy Manufacturers Association (ISMA) said it has revised "net sugar production estimates to 264 lakh tonnes after diverting 35 lakh tonnes of sugar."
Ola Electric Mobility: Ola Electric on Wednesday announced its limited-time Holi flash sale offers for its popular S1 range of electric scooters. Under this special promotion, customers can avail discounts of up to ₹26,750 on the S1 Air and ₹22,000 on the S1 X+ (Gen 2), with the models now starting at ₹89,999 and ₹82,999, respectively.
The company is also offering discounts of up to ₹25,000 on the rest of its S1 range, including all the scooters from its latest S1 Gen 3 range.
Coromandel International: Coromandel International Ltd has acquired a majority 53% stake in agrochemical firm NACL Industries Ltd for ₹820 crore and will launch an open offer to buy an additional up to 26% of equity.
Infosys: IT services firm Infosys on Wednesday announced the expansion of its long-standing strategic collaboration with Citizens, a financial institution in the US.
Under the pact, Citizens will leverage Infosys' domain expertise in financial services and technologies, including AI, cloud, and automation, to develop cloud-native domain platforms and achieve data centre exit.
Besides, Shruti Shibulal, one of the promoters of Infosys, on Wednesday acquired additional shares of the IT firm for ₹469 crore through an open market transaction.
Shruti is the daughter of Infosys co-founder and former CEO SD Shibulal.
According to block deal data on NSE, Shruti bought 29.84 lakh shares of Bengaluru-based Infosys.
Bharti Airtel: Bharti Airtel has transferred its entire 69.94% stake in Airtel Payments Bank to wholly owned subsidiary Airtel Limited, a regulatory filing said on Tuesday.
"The shareholding of 69.94% held by Bharti Airtel Limited in Airtel Payments Bank Limited is being transferred to the company's wholly owned subsidiary (i.e., Airtel Limited) post receiving requisite regulatory and corporate approvals. The above is an internal reorganisation of shareholding in the bank and has no impact on the ownership of the bank," Bharti Airtel said in the filing.
NTPC: NTPC has commissioned a 50 MW unit of the Shajapur solar project in Madhya Pradesh, taking the group's total installed and commercial capacity to 77,461.50 MW, a BSE filing said on Wednesday.
"Second and last part capacity of 50 MW out of 105 MW Shajapur Solar Project (Unit-I) in Shajapur Solar Park, M.P. of NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL) is declared on commercial operation," NTPC said in the filing.
NTPC Green Energy: The company informed exchanges of the commercial operation of the second and last part capacity of 50 MW out of 105 MW of the Shajapur Solar Project (Unit-I) of NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited.
BEL: The PSU has received a ₹2,463 crore order for Ashwini Radars from the Indian Air Force.
Firstsource Solutions: The company, in its exchange filing, said that Firstsource Group USA Inc., its subsidiary, has incorporated a new wholly owned subsidiary in Colombia by the name of Firstsource Solutions Limited Colombia S.A.S. "This is a newly incorporated company, and therefore the history of the last 3 years turnover is not available. The date of incorporation is March 7, 2025," the company said.
NHPC: The company will hold a board meeting on March 19 to consider and approve a borrowing plan for raising debt for the financial year 2025-26.
Jubilant Pharmova: The company’s subsidiary Jubilant Cadista Pharmaceuticals Inc., USA, (Jubilant Cadista)’s solid oral formulations facility at Salisbury, Maryland, USA (Facility) has received the Establishment Inspection Report (EIR) with Voluntary Action Indicated (VAI) status from the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) for the said Facility with respect to the inspection conducted by the said regulatory agency in January 2025.
Azad Engineering: Hyderabad-based complex components manufacturer Azad Engineering on Wednesday announced the inauguration of its Lean manufacturing facility for Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) at Tuniki Bollaram in Telangana.

InterGlobe Aviation: InterGlobe Aviation, the parent of the country's largest airline IndiGo, will invest up to $45 million in its subsidiary InterGlobe Aviation Financial Services IFSC Pvt. Ltd.
The investment was approved by InterGlobe Aviation's board during its meeting on Wednesday.
In one or more tranches, the investment of "up to ₹3,940 million (USD 45 million approximately)" will be made in the IFSC subsidiary, according to a regulatory filing.
NLC India: State-owned NLC India could not meet its lignite production target for FY24 on account of delays in land acquisition, a parliamentary panel said.
The Standing Committee on Coal, Mines, and Steel said in its report tabled in Parliament on Wednesday that the three coal-producing companies, including Coal India Ltd. (CIL), have been able to meet the targeted production for 2023-24.
MTNL: State-owned telecom firms BSNL and MTNL have earned a total of ₹12,984.86 crore from monetisation of land, buildings, towers, and fibre since 2019, Parliament was informed on Wednesday.
According to data shared by Minister of State for Communications Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar in Lok Sabha, BSNL has earned ₹2,387.82 crore and MTNL ₹2,134.61 crore up to January 2025 from monetisation of lands and buildings.

Aster DM Healthcare: The promoters of Aster DM Healthcare have successfully reduced their share pledge from 99% to 41% after completing a debt refinancing transaction from top-tier global financial institutions, as per reports.
As part of the refinancing process, the new reputed lenders—JP Morgan, HSBC, and Barclays—provided fresh funding, enabling Aster DM Healthcare promoters to refinance its existing loans at better terms as well as loan-to-value (LTV).

The company has launched Empagliflozin tablets under the brand names Empaglyde, Empagreat, and Dynaduo.
