On the global front, Asia shares rose slightly in holiday-thinned trade on Thursday, extending gains from earlier in the week with little news or data in the way to alter their direction of travel, while the dollar was perched near a two-year high.

MSCI's broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan ticked up 0.04% and was headed for a weekly rise of nearly 2%, taking a cue from its counterparts on Wall Street earlier in the week.

The financial markets were closed on Wednesday, December 25, on account of Christmas.

Gland Pharma: The pharma company, in its filing to stock exchanges on December 25, said that the Agence nationale de sécurité du médicament et des produits de santé (ANSM), France, conducted a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) inspection of Cenexi’s Fontenay Manufacturing Facility (a material subsidiary of Gland Pharma Limited) between December 9th and 19th, 2024.

"The said inspection was concluded, and the facility received an official notification on December 24, 2024, citing 10 (TEN) observations. Cenexi is committed to working closely with the ANSM to address the observations and will provide further updates on the exchanges as they become available," the filing added.

Surya Roshni: The company has fixed Wednesday, January 1, 2025, as the record date to determine the eligibility of shareholders for issuance of the bonus shares in the ratio of 1:1.
EPACK Durable: The company issued a clarification around a report by The Economic Times dated December 24, 2024, captioned as “China's top TV company plans to buy 26% stake in Indian contract manufacturer EPACK Durable's subsidiary.”.

The company said that business discussions are currently in the preliminary stage. EPACK Durable shall file the requisite disclosure in compliance with applicable laws, as and when required.

Ceigall India: Ceigall India said that its subsidiary, “Ceigall Ludhiana Bathinda Greenfield Highway,” executed the concession agreement with the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) on December 24, 2024.

The project is the development of the 6-lane access-controlled Ludhiana-Bathinda Greenfield highway section of NH-754AD from the junction with Moga-Barnala Road (NH-703) near the village of Tallewal to the junction with the Delhi-Katra Expressway (NE-5) near Ludhiana (Village Ballowal) (from km 30+300 to km 75+543) as a part of the Ludhiana-Ajmer Economic Corridor in the state of Punjab on the Hybrid Annuity Mode under the Bharatmala Pariyojna Phase-I (Package-2).

The cost of the bid project is ₹981 crore.

Ramky Infrastructure: The company has received a "Letter of Acceptance" from the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) for the Manning, Operation, and Maintenance of STPs' and its connecting Interception and Diversion (1&0) under HMWSSB jurisdiction for five years.
Amber Enterprises: The company has clarified on media reports that it is looking to demerge its electronics division. It announced that there is no such event that triggers disclosure obligations.
UltraTech Cement: UltraTech Cement completed the acquisition of a 32.72% stake in India Cements, an exchange filing by the company said on December 24.

Besides, the company has entered into an Energy Supply Agreement and Share Subscription and Shareholders Agreement to acquire 26% equity shares of Clean Max Sapphire Private Limited, a company engaged in the generation and transmission of renewable energy.

NTPC Green Energy Ltd: Shares of recently listed NTPC Green Energy Ltd will be in focus on Thursday as the shareholder lock-in of the company ends today.
Panacea Biotec: Panacea Biotec has received a Letter of Award from UNICEF for the supply of 115 million doses of its bivalent oral polio vaccine (bOPV) worth around ₹127 crore in CY2025.
BPCL: BPCL participated in NTPC’s tender for the selection of solar power generators to establish 1200 MW ISTS-connected solar PV power projects across India. During the reverse auction, BPCL emerged as the lowest bidder for a capacity of 150 MW. Upon finalisation of the contract, the project will be developed over a two-year timeline at an estimated capital outlay of ₹756.45 crore and is projected to generate annual revenue of approximately ₹100 crore by producing around 400 million units of clean energy.
NALCO: The company said in its exchange filing that the mining lease deed for the amalgamated Utkal-D and Utkal-E Coal Block was signed with District Collector, Angul, today, i.e., the 24th of December 2024, in the presence of Shri N S Subrahmanyam, EPO-ED (S&P), and Shri S S Patra, GGM (Coal Mines), to enhance the coal production capacity of NALCO to 4.0 MTPA, which will boost fuel security to the Captive Power Plant. The lease deed is valid up to 21st April 2051.
