SUMMARY

On Thursday, the NIFTY50 index traded in the red near the 23,300 level. Sky Gold, Suzlon Energy and Kernex Microsystems (India) hit the 5% upper circuit and Adani Energy Solutions, Adani Enterprise locked in the 20% lower circuit while Adani Wilmar locked in the 10% lower circuit and EPACK Durable hit the 5% lower circuit.

Domestic equity bourses, NIFTY50 and SENSEX, are trading in the red declining by 0.81% and 0.69% respectively. The Nifty Midcap 100 index and the Nifty Smallcap 100 index are trading in the red, declining by 0.56% and 0.69%, respectively.

On the NSE, 43 stocks hit the upper price band (Upper Circuit) and 80 stocks hit the lower price band (Lower Circuit).

Stocks hitting the upper circuit on Thursday (November 21, 2024)

Sky Gold Ltd

Sky Gold got locked in the 5% upper circuit today at ₹3,770.40 in the early morning session of Thursday. Recently the company declared strong financial results for Q2FY25. On a consolidated basis revenue from operations for Q2FY25 stood at ₹768.8 crore registering growth of 94.2% on a YoY basis and 6.3% on a QoQ basis. PAT for Q2FY25 stood at ₹36.7 crore registering a growth of 405.2% as compared to the same quarter for the previous year.

For Q2FY25 company highlights are, It has raised ₹270 crore through a Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP) from renowned funds like Motilal Oswal Small Cap Fund, Kotak Mahindra Life Insurance and Bank Of India Flexi Cap among others. Scaling of acquired companies i.e., Sparkling Chains and Starmangalsutra to achieve target sales of ₹500 crore by Q4FY25. Manufacturing margin-accretive 18-carat gold and diamond jewellery, the company has added CaratLane and P N Gadgil Jewellers to the client portfolio.

Earlier this month the company announced its board has approved the issue of bonus shares in the 9:1 ratio. This means that it will issue nine new bonus equity shares of ₹10 each for every one existing equity share of ₹10 each and the record date is yet to be announced.

Sky Gold is backed by ace investor Ashish Kacholia. In the last one year, shares have risen by 341% and over the past two years it has shown an increase of 2,272% in its price. Sky Gold designs, manufactures, and markets gold jewellery. It has a market capitalisation of ₹5,500 crore.

Suzlon Energy Ltd

Shares of Suzlon Energy hit the upper circuit of 5% at ₹65.33 in the early morning session of Thursday. Recently, the company declared strong financial results for Q2FY25. On a consolidated basis, total income from operations for Q2FY25 stood at ₹2121.23 crore as compared to ₹1,428.69 crore in Q2FY24 registering a growth of 48.47%. PAT for Q2FY25 was at ₹200.6 crore registering a growth of 96.11% on a YoY basis. As of Q2FY25, the company stands at the largest‐ever cumulative order book close to 5.1 GW.

Suzlon is one of the leading global renewable energy solutions providers. It is a vertically integrated WTG manufacturer. It also undertakes installation and O&M of all WTG sales. The company has a market capitalisation of ₹87,700 crore.

Kernex Microsystems (India) Ltd

Shares of Kernex Microsystems (India) hit the 5% upper circuit limit in the morning session of Thursday at ₹969.25. Incorporated in 1991, Kernex Microsystems manufactures and sells Safety Systems and Software services for Railways.

Recently the company declared strong financial results for Q2FY25. On a consolidated basis Total Income for Q2FY25 stood at ₹41.48 crore registering growth of 2384% on a YoY basis and 43.48% on a QoQ basis. PAT for Q2FY25 stood at ₹6.81 crore as compared to a net loss of ₹4.53 crore in the same quarter for the previous year. The company has a market capitalisation of ₹1,600 crore.

Stocks hitting the lower circuit on Thursday (November 21, 2024)

Adani Energy Solutions Ltd

Adani Energy Solutions was locked in the 20% lower circuit at ₹697.25 in the early morning session of Thursday. This comes on alleged charges against Gautam Adani, the chairman of Adani Group and seven others in a multibillion-dollar bribery and fraud scheme in the USA. According to reports by news agencies including Reuters and Bloomberg, prosecutors in the United States revealed on Wednesday that the charges involve the bribing of Indian officials to secure solar energy contracts.

Additionally, another company Adani Wilmar locked in the 10% lower circuit and Adani Enterprise in the 20% lower circuit today.

EPACK Durable Ltd

EPACK Durable shares were locked in the 5% lower circuit at ₹390.70 in the early morning session of Thursday. A few days back, the company reported financial results for Q2FY25. The company’s revenue has increased by 112% YoY supported by strong industry demand, extended summer season, as well as the addition of new customers. For the Profit after tax, it has increased from a net loss of ₹6.08 crore in Q2FY24 to a net loss of ₹8.49 crore in Q2FY25.

The revenue from Room Air Conditioners contributed to 70% of the total product revenue and grew by 187% on a YoY basis. A month back the company joined forces with Hisense India to manufacture air conditioners and home appliances for the world in India. EPACK Durable will immediately invest, firstly, in a new manufacturing facility in Sricity (Andhra Pradesh) with a capacity of 1 million RACs by FY27-28, with initial production set to begin in June 2025. This strategic cooperation agreement with Hisense is likely to garner additional revenue of approximately $1 billion over the next 5 years for EPACK Durable and its subsidiary.

Incorporated in 2019, EPACK Durable is an Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) of room air conditioners (RAC). It stands second in production volumes for Room Air-conditioners. The company has a market capitalisation of ₹3,700 crore.
