The Indian equity benchmarks gave up early gains and were trading in a narrow range in noon deals on Tuesday, July 22, with SENSEX moving in a band of 427 points and NIFTY50 index touched an intraday high of 25,182 and low of 25,035. Gains in Eternal, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Titan and Maruti Suzuki were offset with losses in Reliance Industries, Larsen & Toubro, Infosys, ITC and UItratech Cement.
As of 12:32 pm, the SENSEX was up 142 points at 82,343 and NIFTY50 index advanced 18 points to 25,109.
Eternal on Monday, July 21, reported a net profit of ₹25 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2025 (Q1 FY26). The figures were ₹39 crore in the previous quarter and ₹253 crore in the year-ago period. Its revenue from operations came in at ₹7,167 crore, up 70% against ₹4,206 crore logged in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.
In its letter to shareholders, Eternal said net order value (NOV) of its B2C businesses grew 55% YoY (16% QoQ) to ₹20,183 crore in Q1 FY26. This was the first quarter where its quick commerce NOV exceeded food delivery NOV for the full quarter.
Trading volumes in 360 One Wam shares on the NSE spiked by 35.1 times to over 2.51 crore shares as against an average trading volume of 7.17 lakh shares. On the BSE, 31.06 lakh shares changed hands compared to an average of 19,000 shares traded daily in the past two weeks.
Reports suggest that Bain Capital and Canada Pension Plan Investment Board likely sold shares worth ₹2,273 crore via multiple block deals. According to a report by Moneycontrol 1.9 crore shares representing 5% equity in the firm changed hands at ₹1,160 per share. The deal was conducted at a 5% discount to the previous session's closing price of Rs 1,221.
The housing finance firm had earned a net profit of ₹433 crore in the same quarter of the previous year.
The company's total income for the quarter grew to ₹2,082 crore from ₹1,832 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year, PNB Housing Finance said in a regulatory filing.
Trading volume in RHI Magnesita India spiked by 53 times on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) to 72.72 lakh shares as against an average trading volume of 1.36 lakh shares.
On the BSE, 3.64 lakh shares changed hands compared with an average of 13,000 shares traded daily in the past two weeks.
As many as 8.43 lakh shares changed hands on the NSE as against an average trading volume of 81,988 shares.
