The Indian equity benchmarks held on to gains in noon deals after staging a gap up opening in trade on Monday, May 26. The SENSEX rose as much as 771 points and NIFTY50 index touched an intraday high of 25,079 powered by gains in index heavyweights like Reliance Industries, ICICI Bank, Mahindra & Mahindra, Larsen & Toubro and Infosys. As of 12:10 pm, the SENSEX was up 451 points or 0.6% at 82,171.96 and NIFTY50 index advanced 135 points to 24,987.

Here are buzzing shares in Monday's session:

Eternal: Shares of Eternal, formerly known as Zomato, fell nearly 4% on Monday to an intraday low of ₹227.95 on the BSE following reports that the stock could see significant passive outflows. The development came after global index provider FTSE Russell announced a reduction in Eternal’s weight across multiple indices due to regulatory changes in the company’s foreign ownership limits.

According to news reports that quoted a research study, FTSE’s rebalancing could trigger passive outflows worth $380 million (approx. ₹3,235 crore). Further outflows may be on the horizon, with MSCI also expected to cut Eternal’s weight in its indices during its upcoming May review, potentially adding another $460 million (₹3,917 crore) in outflows.

Shilpa Medicare: Shares of Shilpa Medicare soared as much as 10.36% to ₹862.50 apiece on the BSE ahead of its earnings announcement.

On Friday, May 23, Shilpa Medicare announced that its 100% subsidiary Shilpa Biocare has entered into a strategic partnership with Orion Corporation (“Orion”), a globally recognised pharmaceutical company headquartered in Finland, out-licensing its flagship product – Recombinant Human Albumin– for commercialisation across the European market.

GE Vernova T&D: Shares of GE Vernova T&D India were locked in 10% upper circuit following the company's strong results for the quarter ended March 31, 2025 (Q4 FY25).

The stock was locked in the 10% upper circuit band of ₹2,072.70 on the BSE.

The company on Friday reported a nearly threefold jump in its net profit to ₹186.49 crore for the March quarter, mainly on the back of higher revenues.

The company earned a net profit of ₹66.29 crore in the quarter ended March 2024.

Balkrishna Industries: Shares of the tyre maker fell as much as 10% to hit an intraday low of ₹2,385 after its net profit in January-March quarter declined 25% to ₹362 crore from ₹481 crore in the same period last year.

Its revenue from operations rose 3% to ₹2,747 crore as against ₹2,673 crore in the year-ago period.

The stock was top loser among the shares traded in the futures and options segment.

Narayana Hrudayalaya: Shares of the hospital chain operator rose as much as 8.47% to hit an intraday high of ₹1,870 after its net profit in January-March quarter rose 3% to ₹197 crore from ₹191 crore in the same period last year.
