As per the terms of the order, Rail Vikas Nigam will also be responsible for the electrification and signaling works in connection with the Aurangabad-Ankai doubling project in the Nanded division of the South Central Railway. RVNL reported that the project has to be executed within a period of 30 months with the total cost of the project at ₹440 crore.
RVNL recently announced it received a letter of acceptance from the South East Central Railway for a project worth ₹38 crore. The work involves the provision of auto signalling with electronic interlocking between the ChampaSaragaon-Baraduar-Sakti section. It also involves the execution of all indoor and outdoor works and the construction and electrification of the huts in the Champa-Sakti section of the Bilaspur Division.
For the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2024, RVNL reported a 33% rise in its net profit at ₹478.40 crore. Revenue from operations rose 17% to ₹6,714 crore during the quarter. For the full fiscal year 2024 (FY24), RVNL reported a 17% year-on-year (YoY) rise in its net profit to ₹1,574 crore. The firm’s revenue from operations rose 8% to ₹21,889 crore while its total revenue for the year rose by 8.4% YoY to ₹23,075 crore.
RVNL was incorporated as a public sector undertaking with a mandate to undertake and execute development, financing and implementation of projects related to rail infrastructure.
Shares of the company have risen by nearly 114% since the beginning of the year. The stock has gained over 234% in the last one year.
