RVNL shares rise over 1% on securing ₹165.5 crore order from North Eastern Railway

At 11:57 AM, shares of RVNL were trading 0.55% higher at ₹331.55 per equity share on the National Stock Exchange (NSE).

The project includes the construction of a Double D type well foundation for a double line with RDSO 25T axle loading standard over the river Gandak, connecting Paniyahwa and Valmikinagar stations. This bridge forms part of the doubling work between Gorakhpur Cantt and Valmikinagar section of the North Eastern Railway.

The total project cost stands at ₹165.54 crore (including GST), and the work is expected to be completed within 24 months. The contract is based on general contract conditions and classified as a domestic order.

RVNL confirmed that neither the company’s promoters nor group entities have any interest in the awarding authority. The project does not fall under related party transactions and has been awarded on an arm’s-length basis.

Last month, on September 22, the company announced that it has emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for a project awarded by Southern Railway.

The project covers the design, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of Scott-connected traction substations. It also includes power quality compensating equipment with associated switching posts (SP/SSP) for a 2x25 kV autotransformer feeding system, as well as SCADA and an Automatic Fault Locator (AFL) for the Jolarpettai Junction - Salem Junction (JTJ–SA) section, as per the exchange filing.
