RVNL share price tumbles over 4.5% on subdued Q3 earnings; PAT comes in at ₹311.44 crore, down 13.1% YoY

During the early trade, RVNL was trading down 4.72% on BSE at ₹343 apiece.

RVNL on Saturday had reported 13.14% decline in consolidated net profit to ₹311.44 crore in October-December quarter as against ₹358.57 crore posted in Q3FY24.

Profit before tax stood at ₹412.90 crore in Q3FY25, down 10.73% as compared to ₹462.55 crore in Q3FY24.

Its revenue from operations also decreased 2.6% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹4,567.38 crore during the reporting quarter.

The company’s total expenses fell 2.27% to ₹4,480.08 crore in Q3FY25 as compared to ₹4,584.44 crore in the corresponding quarter last fiscal.

At the operating level, RVNL’s earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) was down 3.9% YoY to ₹239.4 crore in Q3FY25 over ₹249 crore in Q3FY24. The EBITDA margin was largely flat at 5.2% compared to 5.3% in the corresponding period in the previous fiscal.

The Board of Directors of RVNL had also approved appointment of Kumar Naresh Sinha & Associates, Company Secretaries, as the Secretarial Auditor of the company for FY 2024-25.

“Shri Naresh Kumar Sinha, proprietor of Kumar Naresh Sinha & Associates, has nine years' experience of Practicing as Company Secretary. Prior to his practice, he was ED & Company Secretary of ONGC Limited, a Maharatna PSU. He has altogether more than 35 years of rich experience as a Company Secretary of PSUs and Private Sector Companies including Company Secretary and Head Legal of BHEL. Presently, he is Secretarial Auditor of listed as well as unlisted companies including large PSUs,” RVNL said in an exchange filing.

Ahead of the earnings announcement, shares of RVNL on Friday had closed at ₹360 apiece on BSE, tumbling 5%.
