RPP Infra Projects announced on Monday the company has secured an order worth approximately ₹152.11 crore for the execution of design, engineering, and procurement for the construction of a new district jail with 1,026 capacity in the Hathras district of Uttar Pradesh. Following the announcement, shares of the company rallied over 17%.

RPP Infra said the project has to be executed within 18 months.

In April, RPP Infra said its joint venture with V Sathyamoorthy & Co. has won the order for a major up-gradation of Raipur Railway Station on engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) model. The company also pointed out that it has a strong work order of ₹3,256.68 crore as of April 23, 2024. The time period for the execution of the contract is three years.

Prior to that, the company had won a contract worth ₹94.13 crore from the State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu (SIPCOT) for the formation of internal roads, construction of RCC drains, RCC culvert, minor bridges, providing pipe causeways and street light arrangements in SIPCOT Industrial Park, Shoolagiri.

RPP Infra is an EPC company with a diversified presence in highways, roads and bridges, civil construction (water management), irrigation, mass and affordable housing, and power projects. The company focuses on small to medium government projects with a predominant presence in the southern states, such as Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

RPP Infra Project’s net profit for the fourth quarter of the financial year 2024 declined 15.51% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹13.61 crore. The total consolidated income for the quarter grew by 27.67% YoY to ₹434.85 crore. For the financial year ending on March 31, 2024, the company’s net profit jumped 97.51% YoY to ₹57.2 crore. The total consolidated income for the year was higher by 31.65% YoY to ₹1,403.14 crore.

Shares of the company have risen by nearly 22% since the beginning of the year. The stock has gained nearly 177% in the last one year.
